New knowledge acquired

During the internship there is practical knowledge acquired about the industries. What
activities are performed by industries and how to deal with public. Also, commitment
about work and operations of industries. And much learn about the various executive’s
experiences and their skills. What is role of higher authority (manager) in decision
making and how to solve the problems.
How Experience Impacts My Career
I have gained a lot from my internship. I was doing specialization in Human resource in
SHAHKAM INDUSTRIES I have learned a lot of work related with Human resource.
This helps me a lot to complete my specialization. My communication and negotiation
skills are very much improved. How to communicate and work with the professional
people. By completing my internship, I was able to explore my option as to what type of
company I would like to work for once graduated.
Accomplishment
I was done my internship in HR department. There is five section which I have worked.
 Recruitment and selection
 Compensation and benefits
 Compliance
 Performance management
But the section where I have command is the recruitment office. I am fully trained in
recruitment section. If I am kept in recruitment section, I can handle everything and I am
fully trained in compensation and benefits and I learnt how to deal with customer.

Duties
First week
In the first week I did not learn something very important. Mr. Ali Murtaza trained me
very nicely he told me about HR section and tell me about code of conduct of company.
I learn everything about code of conduct and he gave me a code of conduct (COC) and
asked me to read this COC and tell us about that. Basically, the COC was the way to
convince the employee that it is important for your safety. I had to motivate employees
that if you will follow the code of conduct and company vision and mission statement its
will be better for you in future. After that I distributed the COC in every department and
asked them to read this and signed them.
Second week
Duties
In the Second Week they assigned me work in recruitment office. Mr. kokab trained me
very nicely. I learnt that there is two section in recruitment one for labor and other one is
upper level managers and deputy managers. I learnt that the recruitment of labor is not
difficult but upper level recruitment was very difficult. I was fully trained that which things
I need to see while hiring or firing the employees.
Third week
Duties
In the third week I was assigned in time office. Mr. Bilal was my trainer he told me about
the time office. I learnt that the work of time office is to record the employees work
timing that which employees are working in overtime and I learnt that the employees
which want to take leave will be recorded. In that week I also learnt that how to measure
the performance and satisfaction of employees.
Fourth week
Duties
In the fourth week they assigned me work in compliance department. Sir told me that
the audit officers are coming to visit our industry. So, we have to check all the
department where the employees are working and checked that employees are getting
all facilities and requirements which they needed.
Other activities are
 I learnt about the final settlement
 I learn that how to do clearance of those people who had resign the job and those
people which company had terminate them.
Fifth week
Duties
In the fifth week I was assigned in compensation and benefits section. I learnt about the
salary collection. There are two types of salaries the first one is the basic salary and
other one is the gross
salary.
