ACKNOWLEDGMENT
At the beginning I am very much grateful to almighty god
for giving me strength and opportunity and sound mind to
complete my internship. I want to bid my heartiest thank to
Prof. Harmeet Chabbra, training and placement officer for
giving me the opportunity to work in a company which can
give me a practical experience of corporate world. I also
want to thank Dr. Ankit Ladha, Head of department, Vikrant
Group of institutions, Indore and DAVV University for
providing me this opportunity. Then I would like to thank
FLAXEN INFOSOFT for giving me the opportunity to do
my internship in their organisation. My special thanks to Mr.
Raghav Gurjar (Director of flaxen infosoft), Ms. Arika Jain
(Human Resource Manager, flaxen infosoft), Mr. Nikhil
Sagar (HR Flaxen Infosoft) and their whole team for
assigning me all the duties and supporting me in the project
assigned.

I am also very grateful to Vikrant Group of Institutions


for providing me this great opportunity and supporting
me at every step of the internship and for helping me
to prepare this internship report.

PROFILE SUMMARY

During my internship I gained practical knowledge on


how the human resource of an organization
operates and coordinates its activities to ensure smooth
functioning of the organization at all levels and
ensuring right numbers of people available at the right
time to do the right job. Not only that I also gained
insight into the working culture of the organization and
observed how FLAXEN INFOSOFT handles its
employees with the value and empowerment to ensure
they are motivated to give their best to the
organization.

During the period of 20 days internship I also worked


as a Front Desk Executive and learned how to maintain
the decorum and maintain the client and candidates of
the company.

OBJECTIVE

 To learn about leadership quality and


professionalism.
 To learn how to source the candidate for the
company from different platforms like work India,
placement India, and LinkedIn.
 Analyse the company’s environment and working
of the company.
 Calling the candidate to the company for walk-in
interview.
 Analysing the hiring procedure of the company
and learning how to take the interview
 Learning how to do the exit formalities of the
employees leaving the job.
 Learning how to manage the company’s
environment and how to maintain the decorum in
the company.

INTRODUCTION
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Flaxen Infosoft is India’s initiative to ecommerce
platform for complete business solutions including IT,
Lead Management and marketing campaign. It is an IT
consultant that offers a plethora and IT services.

SIZE: 1 to 200 employees
LOCATION: 215-217 Bhakhtgarh Tower 10/1 New
Palasiya, Indore.

ABOUT THE WORK DONE AS INTERN


Being an HUMAN RESOURSE INTERN the
background of our work was of hiring the candidates.
Each and every step was followed by us during the
internship period which was required to do for hiring an

employee in the company. We also worked as front
desk executive and learned everything about it.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The work done during 20 days of internship was of
Human Resource Intern and Front desk executive under
the guidance of Ms. Arika Jain, Human Resource
Executive Flaxen Infosoft and Mr. Nikhil Sagar,
Human Resource Flaxen Infosoft. It was a short period
to learn everything about a Human Resource so we are
able to learn how the hiring is done in a company and
how we can maintain decorum of the company and also
the exit formalities of an employee for the company.
Some of the descriptions are as follows:
 SOURCING THE CANDIDATE: The very first thing
we learnt is how to source a candidate and how to know
the details of the person who is looking for the required
job profiles. The online sites like Placement India,
Work India, and Apna Jobs etc are some platforms
from where the candidates can be sourced and the
sourced candidates details are kept on the sheet so that
it can be easier for us to call them. One of the most
used sites for sourcing the candidate is LINKDIN and
there we came to know how to build connections and

how to post a job on it. As well we also came to know
about the job postings on different platforms.
 CALLING THE CANDIDATE FOR WALKIN
INTERVEW: Next after sourcing a candidate and
knowing their information we learnt how to call the
candidate of different regions for walk-in interview. It
requires different pitching and we learnt it during our
internship.
 TAKING AN INTERVEIW: We learnt how an
interview is conducted in the company and in that
company there were two rounds of interview which a
candidate have to qualify and before this he need to
give a written test also and the body language of the
candidate is also observed before taking an interview.
 SELECTION PROCESS: If the candidate is selected
then the candidate need to carry all his original
documents and submit it to the company for that much
period he/she is working in the company. Then he will
be given an official mail id from which the candidate
needs to summit his daily work done to the HR
Manager. And the ID cards are also provided to the
candidate.
 EXIT FORMALITIES: If an employee is leaving the
company he/she have to delete all the company data
he/she have and summit everything provided by the
company. The HR of the company checks the

employee’s laptop and even mobile so that he could not
leak the data of the company.

INTERNSHIP DISCUSSION
Till now I wrote about the internship site, the work
performed, the profile description so now I will convey
the achievements I achieved during my internship:
 OBJECTIVE ACHIEVED:
As the main objective of our internship is to learn
professionalism and learn about HR, so I think this was
achieved to a great extent. As the time period for
learning about it was very short all the things can’t be
learnt within that period. Talking about the company’s
objective, the main objective for the company was of
hiring the employees and this objective was also
achieved. My total hiring was 4 i.e., I have given the
company 4 employees.

 SKILLS LEARNED :
According to me I think both professional as well as
scientific skills are learnt by me. Scientific skills like
communication, classifying, predicting etc are the skills
which I achieved. We have to call the candidate and
talk to them as well as we have to observe about the

candidate so these skills of communication and
observing was achieved by this. Talking about the
professional skills like leadership, listening skills,
achievement of daily targets are also achieved by me
during the period of internship. As the targets were
given to us and we need to complete it every day. Many
new terms which we have not heard also I came to
know about that also.

 COURSE WORK VS PRACTICAL WORK:


There are many things which our course work cannot
teach us. It only teaches the theoretical part of anything
but the practical part is totally different from it. Like we
have learnt many chapters about communication in our
course but until and unless we don’t communicate to
someone how could we know about it? So I personally
believe that practical knowledge is must in every part
of our life and I also experienced the same that
practical is more useful than course work.

 CHALLENGES FACED DURING INTERNSHIP:


It was the first time I was gaining a practical
knowledge and that also for a very responsible profile
i.e. HUMAN RESOURSE INTEN. So there were
many challenges faced by me:
 Difficult to adopt company’s environment.

 Pitching challenges.
 Achieving the daily targets.
CONCLUSION

I had a great internship experience with the


company and every employee of the company was
supportive for any challenge faced. I learnt many
things during this period and found a great
opportunity for me in the field of HUMAN
RESOURCE. Before this I was not aware about
the duties of HR and the work position of a HR.
Literally after doing internship in this profile I
came to know about the HR.

Overall this 20 days period will be very precious


in my life as it was the first time I gained the
practical knowledge about the professional world
and about different job profiles. I was very happy
to do this internship as it took me to the practical
world out of the course book which we are
learning from past 12 years.
