🚗💨 What an incredible feat! We are beyond proud to have sponsored Team Mule Graters in the recent Shitbox Rally from Bendigo to Townsville. The crew, Paul & Craig, and their dear "Amelia" helped raise over $6,000 for cancer research! 🎉 The entire rally was an enormous success, raising over $2 million for the Cancer Council. Seeing us Aussies come together from all walks of life really showcases the power of community and the impact we can make together. 🥲💪 A huge shoutout to everyone who ran the gauntlet, donated, and supported this amazing cause! Good morning Linkedin! I haven't posted in a while, but I was a late inclusion in the Tour de Cure SA Discovery Tour this year. Raising vital funds for Cancer research projects and more study into the causes and treatment of cancer, as well as providing programs to improve the day-to-day life of people affected by cancer, we can work towards a cancer-free future. I have only had access to the fundraising for a week and a half now and I'm almost half way toward my goal of $3,000. I personally have had to pay $750 to cover my accommodation, and taking 3 days away from my business to participate riding 400+ kilometers through the Fleurieu Peninsula (so it won't all be bad, as the scenery and company will be amazing!) What would be amazing, is if even half of my linkedin network could forgo a takeaway coffee and contribute toward this great cause I will easily hit or exceed my target helping to fund projects that have led to 150 major cancer research breakthroughs, increasing our understanding of the causes of cancer, finding new treatments, and improving diagnosis rates. https://lnkd.in/gyKzPAAw

Hi everyone! I’m back to report that I’ve just completed the 100 Squats a Day Challenge in August for Cancer Research UK (CRUK).🎉 I had a fun time, and I would like to believe that I have learned and grown a lot through this experience, so I wanted to write about it, partially as a way to remind myself of what I experienced and learned through the process of completing this challenge. Before the challenge even started, I knew I would be having a hard time completing it. I’m not athletic and I don’t exercise regularly, so I decided to practice beforehand. At first, I was only able to do around 30 squats a day, and my thighs hurt so much I had trouble moving around, but they say it gets better so I persevered. Once the pain started to disappear, I decided to gradually increase my daily number of squats. However, it was almost August, yet I couldn’t seem to get any closer to 100. So I looked up ways to increase my daily squat count. I read that it’s easier to divide the number of squats and do smaller chunks throughout the day. So I tried it and was finally able to do 100 squats in one day, just in time for the challenge to start. What awaited me after starting the challenge; however, was another obstacle. There were days when I felt too tired or too lazy to do the challenge, but then I would force myself to at least do a few squats, which made it easier for me to continue afterwards. Learning from that, I decided to do most of my squats in the morning when I just woke up and had the most energy and motivation. It then became a lot easier for me to finish my daily squats and the challenge as a whole. Although today marks the last day of the challenge, my giving page will continue to remain open for some time afterwards. So far, I’ve only been able to raise half my fundraising target, so please consider donating to my page (https://lnkd.in/eigEYpjk) or donating directly to Cancer Research UK (CRUK). All the money will help them research more ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. If you can’t donate, you can also help just by spreading the word.
