The first question in nearly every job interview. Is also the question that trips up the most candidates. Master it with this simple 3-step framework: 1) Start with your current situation ↳ Briefly describe your current role and responsibilities ↳ Highlight recent achievements 2) Mention past experiences ↳ Link prior roles and skills to the job requirements ↳ Focus on experiences most relevant to the job 3) Talk about the future ↳ Explain why you're excited about the role and company ↳ Show enthusiasm and how it aligns with your career goals Tips for delivering your answer: - Keep it concise (1-2 minutes) - Avoid getting too personal - Tailor your response to the job description - Practice but avoid sounding rehearsed Remember to focus on relevant highlights, not your entire life story. Other versions of the question to look out for: ✓ "Walk me through your resume" ✓ "I'd love to hear more about your story" ✓ "Tell me a little bit more about your background" The cheat sheet also includes example answers. Save it to help you prep for your next big interview! Reshare 🔄 to help someone’s job search. And follow me for more posts like this.
