Tropicana Community Services’ Post

Today is International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), a day dedicated to celebrating people with disabilities, promoting awareness and understanding of disability issues, and creating a more inclusive, accessible, and equitable world. This global observance, established by the United Nations in 1992, emphasizes the rights, dignity, and well-being of persons with disabilities while highlighting their invaluable contributions to society. This year's theme, "Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future," highlights the importance of “Nothing About Us Without Us” and meaningful leadership of diverse people with disabilities in creating a more inclusive and sustainable world for all.
