If you’re in the early stages of your customer success career, or looking to move into the field Here are three invaluable resources and tips that helped me when I first started out: 🏆 Written Resources Reading books and other written materials has been key to my development. They have given me a detailed overview of customer success principles and helped me to build out our own customer success playbook with proven strategies that work. One of the books that I found to be most useful was “Customer Success” by Nick Mehta which highlights the significance of CS as the backbone of any thriving business and showcases the importance of driving growth and customer loyalty. 🏆 Advice from other CSMs in the industry For anyone starting a new role in Customer Success, I can’t recommend enough that you reach out to others who have been on the same journey as you. It’ll be instrumental when it comes to those first few months and finding your feet. I did that in the first six month and soon found myself in a position where I could offer others advice, discuss market insights and bounce customer success ideas off too. 🏆 Certified Courses When I was completely new to Customer Success, I started out with a Level 1 Course that covered the fundamentals and gave me a baseline understanding of key concepts and best practices. I’ve since moved on to the Level 2 which expands on these further.
