1) one of my first jobs was working for a fortune 500 financial institution (feels like a lifetime ago). during our orientation, someone from communications came in to train us on media relations, she said, “no comment is a comment.” it stuck with me forever.

2) we really need to talk about the ways using a lowercase ‘b’ is harmful and problematic, especially when you are not someone who identifies with said community.
