Hi! I’m delighted to announce the start of my career journey as a Bachelor of Management student. My background is diverse, including photography and running an online candle shop. Each experience has helped me grow and learn new skills. I started with a love for photography, where I learned to be creative and pay attention to details. This interest led me to start my own online shop, selling handmade candles. Although it was a small venture, it taught me a lot about marketing, dealing with customers, and managing a business. These experiences taught me the importance of combining creativity with strategy. As a photographer, I learned how to communicate well and understand what clients want. Managing my online shop helped me with things like creating engaging social media posts and building relationships with customers. Now, as I study for my Bachelor’s in Management, I’m eager to use my skills in a professional job. I’m especially interested in roles where I can use my creativity and strategic thinking to help businesses grow. Whether it’s through internships, entry-level jobs, or teamwork, I’m excited to bring my enthusiasm and knowledge to the field of management. #CareerJourney #ManagementStudent #Entrepreneurship #Photography #Marketing

Here are 3 ways I got internships as a student, without ever submitting a traditional application. Fashion Photoshoot Assistant: Whilst studying fashion at university, I was very keen to experience working in a fashion-based business. I spent a day researching smaller fashion businesses local to me, and crafting cold outreach emails to my favourites, explaining who I was, what I could offer and why I specifically liked their brand. One replied the same day, I interviewed the following week and was able to join them for a few photoshoots and office days before Covid hit. Content Writer & Creator: After deciding to build my content creation knowledge, I attended a local writing workshop. When the session finished, I decided to speak with the host, who subsequently asked me to write some trial blogs for their website. This then led to creating social media content for a month, giving me published work for my portfolio. Social Media Work Experience: During university, we regularly had guest speakers from different businesses do a one-off lecture or panel for our class. One of these guest lecturers worked for a marketing agency, so I took the initiative after the lecture to approach them and ask if there was any availability for me to shadow in their offices. After a short interview, I ended up joining the team in a part-time role to support their social media throughout half of my second year. What do I want you to take from this? Well, consider what these three things have in common... talking to people! People = opportunities, and often if you don't ask, you don't get. In my experience, lots of smaller businesses are more than happy to give you short bursts of experience (or could use an extra pair of hands), but they often don't advertise this anywhere. Now, I want you to comment one of two things... 1. If you're yet to find work experience or internships, what information/advice would be useful to you? What do you want to know? OR 2. If you've also secured opportunities outside of traditional application processes, what's your story? How did you do it? What advice do you have to give? Let's share ideas!

My #Portfolio is here! It's been almost three weeks since I began the journey of creating my own portfolio. This particular milestone is dear to me not only because it brought me back to my abandoned passion for website design, but also because of my long-standing inferiority complex to my colleagues in similar growth trajectories. I first saw the essence of having a portfolio in my second year when I was job hunting for internships. I would say it was my first time hearing about #portfolio and how it cumulates and translates one's work to others visually. Nonetheless, I spent so much time away from #creating one because I felt I was not ready. Don't get me wrong, even then, I had a good number of things that could go on it, but I just couldn't get myself to arrange everything as it should be. But through research and #marketresearch on how others are building their image, I finally started my journey. ⏺ I would call this current model 'Project Mardia' - Because it's a pure journey of me finding myself :). ⏺ Another great milestone, "I identify with confidence as a ' #Creative #Communicator'. I am super excited about my journey so far, and even more excited to creatively impact my dream space #jobhunting! View a live model of my PORTFOLIO with the #link below and let me know your #feedback! PS: I added selective information, and more updates coming soon! I did it myself! My first internship was at 16, as a content writing intern at a startup called Znappin. At 17, I interned in fashion styling at an agency called Purple Thoughts, followed by another fashion styling internship with a renowned stylist duo, and one more at GQ.(GQ Magazine) By 18, I was a graphic design intern at a startup called Wunderphul. At 19… well, I don’t want to bore you with the details of all 13 internships or my life in the corporate world. What I want to emphasize is this: work every chance you get. Experience trumps any theoretical skill you learn. Even if you don’t excel at first, putting yourself out there and attempting to learn is the biggest favour you can do for yourself. #leadership #entrepreneurship #hiring #digitalmarketing #learning #growthmindset

Follow your dreams or pursue a solid career? As a kid who grew up watching a lot of movies and listening to a lot of songs, this answer was clear to me. But once I saw myself with this dilemma in real life, I couldn't decide so easily. Since I was in High School I knew that I wanted to work with creation, and I've always loved the marketing and branding universe, so I started my dream course at one of the best Universities in my country. I started in 2020 and after this, so many things happened in my life, we had the global pandemic, I saw myself in my first 2 years In the Uni inside my room, I had my first working experience in my area and loved it, I could learn and teach about sales, videomaking, design, audio, etc. Facing the market I had some internship experiences which helped me to understand better how the real world would treat me. I was blessed with one of my life-changing experiences to study abroad in Italy, I learned so much and met amazing people. Going back to my country wasn't easy, and for some time I had to work in an ice cream shop as an ice cream maker. There is no shame in that at all, but what I really wanted was to work with creation and creativity, like I wanted as a kid. So now, I am about to graduate and I live with this question, should I follow my dreams or pursue a solid career?

Hello Everyone,😊 𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲: 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭 🌟 ____________________ I graduated with a degree in interior design, and after three years of study, I was eager to enter the field. But despite applying to various jobs and internships, I didn’t receive a single response or interview invitation. It was a challenging time, and it became clear that I needed to carve out my own path. - In 2019, I launched my own small business, painting eco-friendly tote bags. Alongside this venture, I immersed myself in learning digital marketing, entrepreneurship, and content creation—all the essentials for growing a business. My passion for photography was a perfect complement to this shift, adding a unique perspective and value to my new journey. - As I kept learning and refining my skills, I realized I loved this career and was succeeding in it. This passion and persistence led me to open my own creative agency, where I’ve had the pleasure of working with clients locally in Lebanon and internationally. - This experience taught me the importance of doing what you love. When we find work that aligns with our passions, success and fulfillment naturally follow. My journey has shown me that if you’re not excited about what you do, it’s tough to find true satisfaction in your career. #careershift #entrepreneurjourney #passiontoprofession #creativeagency
