This past week at my internship, I learned lots about video shooting and the pros and cons of mounting the camera to a tripod, shooting by hand, or using a Gimbal. A Gimbal is a tool that can be programmed to minimize choppy and uneven movement while taking a video. Editing has always been something I’ve struggled with, but my time at TCI has allowed me to confidently say that I can edit with ease and produce high-quality results. My manager, Koji always had the patience to teach me new things. I’ve taken the last few months to put them into practice and in due time consistently, these skills will reach mastery. Who knew that three weeks alone could teach a lifetime of lessons? Over the past three weeks, I had the incredible opportunity to intern at the OffBeet Media Group in Gurugram. Diving into the world of media production was an adventure that taught me invaluable life lessons beyond just filmmaking. - The Challenge of Independence: Living alone was a mix of excitement and difficulty. Managing everything on my own and staying on top of tasks, from daily chores to laundry, was a new and challenging experience. - Budgeting and Financial Awareness: I learned the importance of budgeting my finances. Every expense needed careful consideration, teaching me the value of money and financial planning. - Navigating the City: Traveling alone on the metro for the first time was both intimidating and thrilling. Also taking an auto every day and having conversations with the drivers has shown me the importance of small gestures. A modest tip can make a significant difference in the lives of auto drivers without making much impact on your own finances. If you can afford it, always give a small tip; it goes a long way. - The Value of Simple Pleasures: I developed a newfound appreciation for home-cooked meals. After days of takeout and quick fixes, the comfort of a simple, homemade dish became priceless. - Passion and Happiness: Most importantly, I realized I’m happiest when I’m doing something I love, like editing and filming. This internship reinforced my passion and confirmed that the 9-5 routine isn’t for me—I thrive in creative environments. This internship not only deepened my passion for cinematography and editing but also gave me a taste of real-world challenges. I’ve learned that while independence is empowering, it comes with its own set of responsibilities. I also realized that I get attached to people and places very quickly, making the experience both enriching and emotionally impactful.

Here are a few valuable qualities inculcated via reality shows and cinema which have positively impacted the lives of countless people. They say movies are a depiction of life. “ what excites me about this internship and here is a brief description of the internship businesses?” What excites me about this internship is that I get real world experience. I get to do things that will help me in my future career. It gives me an insight view that I wouldn’t have without doing the internship. I get to choreograph dances and space them and it gives me great teaching experience. I get to design posters for upcoming events which gives me increased knowledge on graphics. I get to communicate with studio directors and get experience with guests choreographers.

My first internship was at 16, as a content writing intern at a startup called Znappin. At 17, I interned in fashion styling at an agency called Purple Thoughts, followed by another fashion styling internship with a renowned stylist duo, and one more at GQ.(GQ Magazine) By 18, I was a graphic design intern at a startup called Wunderphul. At 19… well, I don’t want to bore you with the details of all 13 internships or my life in the corporate world. What I want to emphasize is this: work every chance you get.  Experience trumps any theoretical skill you learn.
