Yes one solution is to get help from Western Coutries to get the #JetEngines for #India. The other way is to disrupt the reliance on existing #combustion technology and its #challenges with innovative #noncombustion (electric) Jet engine technology like SiriNor is developing right here in #India. And guess what … It will be Cheaper than any existing Combustion jet engine since SiriNoR engines don’t need the Super Alloys (exotic materials). These engines can achieve thrust of upto 90KN. The whole supply chain is available within the country. I would say this is smarter way to do it since it will help #Atmanirbharbharat goals. According to an announcement from India's Ministry of Defense, the Indian Navy has chosen GE Aerospace to supply LM2500 marine gas turbine engine kits to power six Next Generation Missile Vessels (NGMVs). The missile vessels will be built by Cochin Shipyard Limited in Kochi. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will construct and test the engine kits at its Industrial and Marine Gas Turbine Division in Bangalore. In addition to the engine kits, GE Aerospace will offer a complete set of gas turbine auxiliary equipment for the boats. The LM2500 engines have previously been tested in the Indian Navy, where they power six Shivalik-class frigates and the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, the Indian Navy's flagship. Light Tank Zorawar: I write with leading Army Generals and industry leader on collaborating with DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India & Industry Larsen & Toubro. I call it a key moment towards indigenisation, a significant leap in armoured warfare technology. What are the technologies here and the firepower against the target tank? It got firstly a Cummins 750/1,000 hp engine, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of just under 40 hp/tonne. In performance, 1000hp provides enough power for manoeuvrability in the thinner atmosphere (oxygen-depleted altitude) in Ladakh. Well thought out, the amphibious capabilities, will prove it more in scattered water bodies all across mountain terrains. The light tank now in the final stage, will prove some of the complex demonstration and firepower at high altitude areas. It must also attempt to surpass the Chinese light tank, ZTQ-15 in its objective, showing technical prowess.
