A recent review of Selling In A Post-Trust World - check out more at https://lnkd.in/ehKXrNUp "Sales is an honorable profession - If you are a sales professional and proud to be in sales -- this is a must-read. This book does a great job of articulating what you can do differently to stand out from others who may not always have people's best interests at heart. If salespeople embody these characteristics, I believe buyers wouldn't complain about the sales experience (or how much they dislike salespeople)."

What sales books have shaped your career? 📚 Aaron E. cofounder of Flow State Sales asked Alice Heiman to share some that she recommends. Here's the run down. 1. How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie Alice emphasizes the timeless principles in this classic book. Carnegie's insights into human nature and interpersonal relationships are crucial for effective selling. Learn how to connect with people by focusing on their needs and interests, making your conversations more impactful. 2. Conceptual Selling by Stephen Heiman and Bob Miller In the world of complex sales, understanding the customer's decision-making process is key. Alice highlights how this book teaches salespeople to dig deep, uncover important information, and stay customer-focused. Despite being written decades ago, its relevance in today's customer-centric world is undeniable. 3. Strategic Selling by Stephen Heiman and Diane Sanchez Heiman Alice discusses the importance of strategic positioning in complex sales. This book provides a detailed guide on how to properly position yourself and your team to win deals. By understanding and following the process outlined in this book, sales teams can improve their chances of success in complex sales environments. 4. The Selling Machine by Stephen Heiman and Diane Sanchez Heiman Though out of print, Alice highly recommends this book for anyone managing a sales funnel or pipeline. It offers a step-by-step approach to pipeline management, helping sales professionals and leaders understand how to move deals through the funnel more effectively.

Today's lesson from my book, 'the Salesman Handbook' is really key. Avoid rushing sales out of desperation. Instead, take time to understand your prospects' needs. Focus on delivering value over quick closures. Desperation can scare away potential customers, so prioritize patience and a customer-focused approach. Remember, building strong relationships leads to lasting success in sales. #SalesTips #CustomerFirst #BuildingRelationships

Hi sales professionals, sometimes back I shared an excerpt from one of favourites sales negotiation's book of all time, Chris Voss, Never Split the difference. The lessons from this book will leave you really amazed. I haven't really been able to shake up a quote Chris made in his book; "No deal is better than a bad deal." This is a powerful reminder that not every deal is worth the price. In sales, this means recognizing your value and refusing to settle just to close a deal. In fact, Walking away shows confidence and clarity. And often, it’s the confidence of walking away that draws the right opportunities to you. Think about this, and do enjoy your evening. #SalesWisdom #NeverSplitTheDifference #NegotiationSkills
