A while ago, DARES conducted an in-depth geotechnical study for Porto’s Rubí metro line. We found unsettling ground displacements near the metro line and the port. 🚧 We spent an entire year analyzing the data, pinpointing risks that could impact these infrastructures. Our attempts to share this information with relevant authorities went unanswered. Here’s what we discovered: 🔍 Ground displacements indicating potential present and future structural issues.  ⚠️ Clear risk factors that required attention.  🛠️ Data insights are crucial for planning preventive actions. Though the project didn’t proceed, our work stands as proof of the precision and foresight our analysis provides. We’re prepared for the moment this information becomes essential. Last Quarter we kicked off variability leaching work as part of our Rare Earth Options Assessment – a program of work that aims to identify alternative, capital efficient and nearer term options for producing rare earth elements at the Dubbo Project. If the RE Options Assessment is successful in identifying lower cost, shorter implementation pathways, it will open the potential for a phased development approach, alternative funding opportunities and a focused completion of the FEED services work at Dubbo. The RE Options Assessment work is scheduled for completion in H1 2025. Governance Structures and Citizen Engagement Frameworks: An in-depth collection of data on existing governance frameworks and ongoing initiatives for citizen engagement, providing an overview of current efforts and areas for improvement. 3. Alignment with Smart Specialisation Strategies: An assessment of how well the existing strategies are aligned with the Mission objectives.
