Are you doing Scrum? Did you ever check if you fulfill the preconditions to do so? Too often Scrum is applied in a way that sets it up for failure. I wrote about the most common preconditions teams miss in the Agile Compass: https://lnkd.in/edqhtd42 #scrum #agile #team

Scrum is NOT simple. The 2020 Scrum Guide states that Scrum is Simple. I can't entirely agree and that statement needs to change. Read the post for more. #scrum #scrummaster #productowner https://lnkd.in/gNG_prZK

Just the other day, we were asked the million-dollar question that we get asked regularly: “Where do I start? And how do I start?” Starting something is very different than learning about it, and for some, it could be scary, receive pushback, or just be overwhelming. An Agile way of working doesn’t have to be hard. Take Scrum for instance. To transcend Mechanical Scrum, it's crucial for the Agile community to re-emphasize the importance of the Scrum Values, encourage adaptable practices, and foster environments that prioritize continuous improvement, team autonomy, and value creation. Success stories from those who have shifted from mechanical to empirical Scrum practices offer valuable insights and inspiration. As we move forward, leveraging resources and training to deepen our understanding and application of Scrum will be key to overcoming these challenges. The goal is to not just follow Scrum by the book but to live its principles, ensuring teams are truly agile, responsive, and focused on delivering value. Scrum thoughts #1: One of the main things I learned while taking the Certified Scrum Master course, is that scrum is built on simple principles and is super easy to understand the main concepts. Scrum is more about people and the environment than processes. There are not many details on how you should apply the scrum events or how to manage the project itself. The challenge would be how to apply these principles and concepts to your projects and environment. Take a look at the Scrum guide, It's only 11 pages! https://lnkd.in/gtZqc-bv #scrum #scrummaster #certifiedscrummaster #agile #agility #projectmanagement

Large-Scale Scrum by Craig Larman and Bas Vodde is a nice book for organizations seeking to scale their agile practices beyond a single team and never experienced it before. The book Large-Scale Scrum offers a practical guide to implementing LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum), a framework that helps organizations achieve greater agility, faster delivery, and higher quality. With a focus on simplicity, transparency, and continuous improvement, More with #LeSS provides a case for scaling #agile and #scrum principles across multiple teams and complex systems.
