People new to Scrum or without formal training sometimes use Scrum as an excuse for various bad practices. These practices can be very unproductive and may undercut many of the benefits that the organization is seeking from an Agile transformation in the first place. For example, Scrum is no excuse not to create a forecast for delivery or to accept a lack of direction for your product. This article by PST Mary Iqbal will discuss three common bad practices and explain why Scrum is no excuse. Mary Iqbal #Scrum #Agile

Scrum thoughts #1: One of the main things I learned while taking the Certified Scrum Master course, is that scrum is built on simple principles and is super easy to understand the main concepts. Scrum is more about people and the environment than processes. There are not many details on how you should apply the scrum events or how to manage the project itself. The challenge would be how to apply these principles and concepts to your projects and environment. Take a look at the Scrum guide, It's only 11 pages! https://lnkd.in/gtZqc-bv #scrum #scrummaster #certifiedscrummaster #agile #agility #projectmanagement

Let's talk about a common trap I've seen as a Scrum Master: aiming for perfection, force teams to use specific "best practices" and micromanaging every Agile event can hold back team autonomy. 👮🏻♂️🚨 This is not the sake of our role! While it's crucial to teach new teams initially, it's equally important to step back and let them navigate their own challenges. Remember, you're there to coach and enable them to find their own way (not your way). 😉 Embracing the journey of trial and error is where true learning happens. 💡 Let's empower teams to experiment, make mistakes, and grow! 💪 #Scrum #ScrumPolice #Agile Please take a look of this great article by Brett Maytom!
