In a world where national security is inextricably linked with economic output, innovation & job growth, widespread adoption of US open source AI models is good for both security & the economy. Other nations - inc China - understand this and are racing to develop their own open source models. It is in America and the wider democratic world’s interest for US models to succeed and be the basis of the global open source standard. https://lnkd.in/g4BAVHgZ
"In three years, Cyberdyne will become the largest supplier of military computer systems. All stealth bombers are upgraded with Cyberdyne computers, becoming fully unmanned. Afterwards, they fly with a perfect operational record. The Skynet Funding Bill is passed. The system goes online August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug."
This sounds like racism and imperialism cloaked in tech speak. Are you saying that the white west should dominate over the world?
Robo Sapiens - is the Twin Species Microsoft’s. AI Chief Mustafa Suleyman has been talking about. The little Chinese robot proves it’s Existance in Physical Reality, and Why an AI+Robotics Intelligence +Physical Agency enabled Human made Artifact must be seen - and taken seriously as the Twin Species and Final 4D Reproductive ”Extension of Man”, indirectly predicted by Prof. Marshall McLuhan in his work of Genius ”Understanding Media”, which in effect is a Manual for how AI will evolve in the coming years. Instead of Mars project-Why not apply Robo Sapiens to Save Planet Earth and Erradicate Poverty - as Prime Inspirational Project for Humanity?
I think that you and your post is fraudulent (as is the conglomorate that pays you a salary). I completely agree with the people in your former constituency in Sheffield who voted you out.
Awesome!
Meta has been the most important AI company for National Security since Llama-2. https://benvanroo.substack.com/p/meta-the-only-ai-regulatory-body
Open source AI models indeed hold immense potential for driving innovation and collaboration on a global scale. However, ensuring their widespread adoption comes with challenges—such as balancing transparency with security, preventing misuse, and fostering international trust in shared standards. How do we address these challenges while promoting the benefits of open source AI? Could stronger global alliances or regulatory frameworks play a role in supporting both innovation and security?
Unless Nick Clegg they run riot through your charity page and ban you for being a cyber security threat just because you are trying to recruit volunteers to help. I can post this here https://www.andovertrees.org.uk/ but if we post the same link using a Meta platform it is instantly removed and all who share it reprimanded. We need your help. I have emailed and messaged numerous times but so far have had no response.
Meta's decision to partner with defense contractors is a bold move that could reshape the future of warfare. While AI has the potential to revolutionize national security, it's crucial to tread carefully. We must ensure that this technology is used ethically and responsibly. The stakes are high, and the consequences of misuse could be catastrophic.

3wIn other words, Meta is happy to profit by selling AI to “defense” companies like Lockheed Martin whose products have killed thousands of innocent children in Gaza. When WW3 breaks out between the US and China, we can look back on this moment and remember when we had the opportunity to seek peace, but decided not to, because it was less profitable. If America wants to compete against nations like China, perhaps it should invest in education, which actually does improve our economics, instead of investing in killing machines which serve no one.
