Great news for Tiktok shop sellers! You can now issue partial refunds to customers. Here's how it works: If you sent a £10 product to a customer who encountered an issue but is willing to keep the item, you can negotiate a partial refund. For instance, you can offer a £5 refund as compensation and let the customer keep the product, avoiding additional shipping costs. Previously, you had to refund the entire order amount. Even if a customer bought two items worth £10 each and wanted to return only one, a full refund of £20 was required. Program Updates Referral Fees Starting July 1, 2024, TikTok Shop will increase the referral fee on all qualified transactions to 8% per order*. To support you through this transition, TikTok Shop will increase the referral fee in increments. As such the referral fee will increase to 6% from April 1, 2024 to July 1, 2024 to help you align your approach accordingly. This transition period aims to ease the adjustment for all our valued sellers, ensuring a smoother integration into the updated fee structure. *The following categories will adjust their current referral fee beginning April 1, 2024: Referral fee for Electronics will be adjusted to 6% Referral fee for Pre-owned will be adjusted to 5% Referral fee for Collectibles will be adjusted to 6% All new sellers enrolled in promotional plans will continue on their respective plans until the conclusion of the promotional period. From 15 March 2024, TikTok Shop will no longer automatically approve all "Delayed Delivery" return requests or automatically reimburse sellers. In some cases, such as "Fulfilled by Seller" TikTok shop will instead require seller's to review the request. Sellers will be notified of the refund request and must respond within 2 business days of submission of the refund request from the customer.
