CEO at The Predictive Index. Best Selling Author. Talent Optimizer - changing the way people and companies think about Talent.

If you could go back in time, 10 years or so, and tell your past self something, what would it be? I’ll go first: You’re making the right decision by purchasing this company. Daniel and I acquired PI after 5 years of trying—and failing. It had been in the Daniels family since its creation in 1955 and they were reluctant to let it go. Sometimes, I questioned whether or not we should throw in the towel and bark up a different tree. I loved the software and believed in it. But 5 years of "no" was a lot and patience does not run very deep with me. Was the grind worth it? Ten or so years later, it absolutely was. What would you tell your past self? Let me know in the comments. ⬇️ #acquisition #talentoptimization

Similar to yours...should I go back to work for Mike Zani at PI or continue running my own HR consulting business? I always say that I never would have if Mike wasn't such a people centric leader. I couldn't have been more right to join forces and bring Talent Optimization to the world with the best team ever at The Predictive Index!

@mike zan Mike Zani 10 years ago, I would say to myself, “don’t worry because you will find the right time to pursue your purpose”. 10 years ago I was an owner in a business where I loved the people but not the work. I took the leap 2 years later to start a company with people I love but also doing the work I love….pursuing the work I know god put me here to do. Thankful that The Predictive Index has been part of that journey!

Don't be shy about taking advantage of the opportunities in front of you. People see something in you that you don't yet and that is why they are presenting these opportunities to you.

I'd tell myself that I need to prepare to experience triumph and tragedy in equal measure, but the impact of the former will sustain me through the latter... Nobody gets through their life unscathed, but it is possible to emerge a little better and a little wiser if I just allow myself to learn the hard lessons that life tries to teach you.

Years ago, Daniel Muzquiz helped me understand my level of intensity vs other people, using PI as a guide. I would tell my younger self, "take a breath, this doesn't require a hair on fire 🔥response" :) As the young people say, it's not that deep sometimes. 😆
