Let’s also clear up what we mean by the word “diet.” When I refer here to a plant-based “diet,” I don’t mean a diet as in food-restriction-for-weight-loss. Diet here simply means the foods you habitually eat. The goal of a plant-based diet is to help you live a healthier, happier life in the long term. It’s a lifestyle choice, not a weight-loss program.
