Think Pink! How is breast cancer detected? Do I need to go for a mammogram? Here is what you need to know: Monthly breast self-exams (BSE) help familiarise yourself with your breasts, making it easier to notice lumps or changes on the skin. Not all lumps are cancerous, but it is important to schedule a clinical examination with your doctor if you notice something different! On the other hand, mammograms can detect lumps and hidden changes inside the breast that cannot be detected normally. BSE, clinical examinations and mammograms should be a part of your life in the prevention of breast cancer.
