In honor of today's International Women's Day, we kick off our new content series #FactFriday. 👩💪 #BreastCancer is still the most common form of malignant tumors in women. In Germany alone, around 70,500 women develop breast cancer each year. Around 18,000 of these cases are fatal. Against this backdrop, it is of utmost importance to us to further develop our treatment of primary and advanced metastatic breast cancer using #RegionalChemotherapy. In our case study, we achieved a complete remission of primary tumors in every fourth patient with intra-arterial infusion and high-dose cytostatics, with mostly very little side effects. Treatment of metastatic tumors with regional chemotherapy resulted in a median survival rate of 29 months and an improved quality of life. Read more about this treatment method in our case study: https://lnkd.in/e9UE8xd5 #MediasKlinikum #CancerTherapy

🌟 Fact 9 of 31: Understanding Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) 🌟Did you know that symptoms of inflammatory breast cancer can develop rapidly, often within just days or weeks? This is in contrast to other types of breast cancer, which may take months or even years to show significant changes. For a diagnosis of IBC, specific criteria must be met. Skin changes must have occurred within the last 6 months. At least one-third of the breast must be affected. Awareness of these symptoms is crucial for early detection and treatment. #BreastCancerAwarenessmonth #InflammatoryBreastCancer #KnowTheSigns #31DaysofIBC
