At MYAN, we stand in solidarity with migrants as we acknowledge International Migrants Day. This year, we were proud to support the International Migration Youth and Children Platform (IMYCP) consultations, where we introduced MYAN and the work we do to amplify the voices of young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. As part of this, we facilitated important conversations around gender equality in migration, focusing on the participation of young women in policy-making, the lack of policies addressing young women migrants in various regions, and the need for gender-based protection to ensure safe migration pathways. During this time, we also participated in the review of the second New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants, a critical framework that highlights the importance of international cooperation in protecting and supporting migrants worldwide. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/e-rkk5XM On this International Migrants Day, we reflect on the fortitude, contributions, and rights of migrants across the globe. We are reminded that advancing equality, justice, and opportunity for all requires ongoing commitment and action. We encourage our supporters to engage in meaningful conversations about migration, educate themselves on the complexities of global displacement, and advocate for policies that uphold the dignity and rights of all migrants, particularly young people. #internationalmigrantsday #migrants #genderequality

🌏 Today, on #InternationalDayofHumanRights, I urge everyone, everywhere, to stand for humanity. 🙌 We still have a long way to go to fulfill the promise of human rights, particularly here in Australia, where we lack a national Human Rights Act. This is a call to action - a moment to reflect on the kind of future we want to leave for the next generation. Let’s stand together for "Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now." 💪 🕊️ #HumanRights | #Equality | #Freedom | #Humanity | #StandUpForRights Together, we can create a more just and inclusive world. 🌟 Rotary District 9800 Rotary International

📢 Did you know? Right now, Australians have very few legal protections for our basic human rights. Every liberal democracy in the world—except Australia—has a national Act or Charter to safeguard people's human rights. It's time to reflect on the importance of ensuring that everyone's rights are protected and upheld. Let’s start a conversation about how we can join the global community in standing up for human rights. 💬 #HumanRights #Australia #Equality #Advocacy Australian Human Rights Commission
