Breast cancer surgery and treatments can cause changes to your body and the way you look and feel, so it’s okay to not feel okay. If you are currently going through treatment for breast cancer during the Christmas period, it is important to spend time adjusting and recuperating. It is time to put yourself first and learn to say NO if you don’t feel up to a social activity just yet. A big thank you to everyone who attended our Big Booby Brunch on Saturday 7th December, it was festive, fabulous, and fun. In total, we raised a magnificent £485. Events like these are a great way of coming together and having fun whilst fundraising at the same time too. Did you know that all our events raise money, whether you attend a workshop, a ball or an afternoon tea you are helping to raise essential funds for our charity. We would like to say a great big thank you to the team at The Hook & Line for being wonderful hosts once again and providing a super scrummy brunch. We also had an unexpected visit from Santa aka Curly Gaz who is putting our gorgeous independent Plymouth eateries on the map. Thank you for your support Gaz and we hope to see you again soon. #thankyou #thankful #goodtimes #charityevent #christmas #brunch #togetherness #foodie #brunch #delicious #brunchtime

Christmas shouldn’t be about how much we give but how much love we put into giving. As we age, our happiness doesn’t come from what we get but from what we give. So, this Christmas break tradition and ask your loved ones to give the gift of giving to The Primrose Foundation. No matter what you give, your generosity will help provide comfort and support to future patients and the many families affected by breast cancer living locally. #christmas #presents #gift #supportlocal #makeadifference #love #care #giftofgiving #theprimrosefoundation

Is it that time of year when your annual mammogram is upcoming, or you are about to receive your first one-year post-operative mammogram? Can you feel the dread and anxiety building as that appointment approaches? It is recognized that anxiety can increase when there is a test pending which will screen, diagnose, or check for progression or recurrence of a cancer. This anxiety is not uncommon, we know from chatting with patients, like you who attend their appointments at The Primrose Breast Care Centre. To find out more about scan anxiety please click on the link below. https://lnkd.in/eX7eHSGW #mammogram #breasthealth #mammography #breastcare #anxiety #mindset #postop #postopcare #postsurgery #followup #breastcancercare #breastscreening

As we get older Christmas becomes less about the presents and more about the presence of the ones we love. This is even more powerful when a special someone in our life has either recently been diagnosed with breast cancer or is coming to the end of their treatment. If you find yourself being asked for gifts or are searching for something meaningful this Christmas to give, then why not consider donating your gift fund to help purchase new patient gowns for Primrose patients? A small donation of just £12 this Christmas will buy one patient gown – this small act of kindness will help bring dignity and comfort at a difficult time. To find out more please click on the link below or copy and paste this information and add it to your Christmas wish list. https://lnkd.in/ezhaaDfR #thankyou #thankful #notforprofit #charitygiving #breastcancercare #breastcancersupport #supportlocal #theprimrosefoundation #bebreastaware #breastcancerawarenessmonth #supportlocal

Our featured fundraiser this week is Judy Gotham. Judy threw a 40th birthday bash in aid of our charity recently which was all about fabulousness, fun and fundraising. Together with her family and friends this fun way to fundraise raised over £2,600 for The Primrose Foundation. We would like to thank all those who celebrated with Judy and donated so generously. Later this month, we will be sharing Judy’s story and why she chose to support our charity. #thankyou #thankful #thankyouthursday #party #goodtimes #fundraising #fun #theprimrosefoundation #breastcare #breastcancersupport #charitygiving #notforprofit
