Hot take: People saying "AI will kill SaaS because companies will just generate their own software" have no idea what they're talking about. They've clearly never built or maintained real software at scale. I think if you yourself are a tech company, this COULD make sense, but even then you’re trading engineering time + stability for a few dollars saved each month. The delta between generating a todo list app and a functional HRIS is much, much larger than most people realize. Instead, as code becomes easier to produce, software will become increasingly sophisticated and capable, and customers will demand higher standards from the products they chose to use.
Yeah I think ai is lowering the barrier to entry for software companies to build things but I think it is sooo far from letting a non software company do software for funsies

I think the problem with especially software is going from 0-80 seems pretty easy, when you need to get to 100 from 80 is where all the gremlins show up. I also like your take Kartik Deshpande customers will expect more.
