Rather belated post but on Friday, I was lucky enough to attend the Bright Network Festival in Westminster!!!! I would like to give a shoutout to the people that complimented my outfit whilst visiting the booths (I'm the one with the duck tie 😁😁) As an aspiring Actuary, I ended up networking with multiple top insurance firms such as Aviva, AIG, Allianz Partners, Aon, Marsh McLennan and Zurich Insurance!!!! 🥳🥳🥳 I had so many insightful conversations with all the companies I managed to connect with on the day and here are my 3 takeaways from my experience: 1. Standout from the crowd by showing a true passion and interest in what field you are going into 2. Research into the companies and discover what their values are, and if they align with yours (very very important) 3. Just be yourself in the interview stages, be the most authentic person you can be!!!!!
