Use micro-assessments to trigger recall just before learners are likely to forget. This approach, known as SPACED REPETITION, aligns with how our brains naturally retain information, turning short-term memories into long-term knowledge. In a recent course I developed, I applied this technique by consistently reinforcing the critical first step of 'staying calm' across multiple scenarios, while varying the other steps based on the situation. 4moI love this. Spaced repetition is a very important for remembering things in the long run. This is on a different tangent, but there's this app I use (https://readwise.io/) that helps me remember more of what I read using the concept of spaced repetition. When something stands out to me, I use the app to highlight a quote for future reference. Then, Readwise resurfaces those highlights over the coming days and weeks so I can re-engage with the material with fresh eyes. And the best thing is that you start seeing connections with other material. Spaced repetition is awesome!!
