I was on TV!!! Last night I was lucky enough to squeeze my question in and ask Rhun ap Iorwerth about how he plans to create an environment in Wales that encourages Welsh Start-Ups to thrive (See clip below). Start-Ups in Wales do face significantly lower valuations, along with serious difficulty when it comes to raising capital in comparison to their London counterparts. This is something I feel very strongly about, and is one of the key drivers around why we’re building Innovators Uncensored⚡️ This is something that is felt across pretty much all of the regions of the UK. No one is to blame here, there is just a lot of work that needs to be done in regards to building relationships and increasing visibility of regional Start-Ups. Our end goal with Innovators Uncensored is to build a fund that enables us to invest in Pre-Seed/Seed stage Start-Ups equally across the regions and in London. We want to build an environment that enables regional founders to think big, and have the infrastructure to execute on those big visions - something I discussed in great detail with Geraint Hampson-Jones and Laura Franses recently. We want Innovators Uncensored to be the catalyst that makes ALL founders in the UK think about just how big they can really build their company, whilst being the media platform and funder that actually enables them to do it.

Celebrating entrepreneurship and grit with Alabama Venture Club 2024 Jemison Award keynote speaker Shegun Otulana - founder of behavioral health software company Therapy Brands, exited for $1.2B in 2021. In his remarks, Shegun shared his journey from Lagos, Nigeria to Birmingham, AL and building a unicorn company with no backing from the VC community. Celebrating the Remarkable Support From Black Opportunity Fund (BOF) 🙌 Today, I would like to highlight the Black Opportunity Fund (BOF) and the significant influence they have had on RenMobi Inc.’s journey. Their grant program has offered us essential support that has truly transformed our growth and innovation. Thanks to the BOF Grants: - I got the essential certification and license required to operate and service pressure/gas vessels or equipment up to and including 400,000 BTUH. This certification is a vital milestone that allows us to begin constructing and testing the prototype of our Thermal Storage System (TSS) for automotive, residential, and commercial applications. - We successfully filed for Intellectual Property on one of our groundbreaking Thermal Storage System, ensuring that our innovations are protected as we continue to develop and scale. I want to take a moment to personally thank Craig Wellington, Ray Williams, ICD.D, LL.D, Thierry Njomgang, MBA, MCS, PROSCI and Nigel Sandy for their unwavering support and belief in RenMobi’s vision.
