Founders Live Edinburgh is BACK! 🚀 🔥 ✨ ⭐️ 🖐️ January 16th, 2025 - Mark your calendars. I'll be announcing our amazing Sponsors later this week! There’s nothing quite like Founders Live. It’s not just about pitching (although the 99-second pitches and 4-minute Q&A format is pure adrenaline). It’s about big ideas, bold leaps, and the connections that push you forward. At October’s event, the energy was unmatched. A packed room of founders, investors, vendors, and fans created an atmosphere you could feel - a community truly coming together. People weren’t just listening; they were engaged, inspired, and ready to act. And guess what? We’re on track to pack the room out again. The January event will be even bigger, even better, and even more unmissable. ✨ Why come to Founders Live? • Get inspired by the ambitious pitches and bold ideas on stage. • Make meaningful connections with Scotland’s brightest founders, investors, and supporters. • Leave with a notebook full of ideas and a fire in your belly to drive your own goals forward. • It's not just a great pitching event, it's just a great event. The first event set the bar high, and January is where we take things to the next level. Tickets are live, and this event WILL sell out. 🚀 Don’t miss out - join us on January 16th. Considering our VC Pitch Day 2024? https://direc.to/kHvV Part3 received three offers and secured funding at last year’s #VCPitchDay; hear what co-founder Jack Sadler has to say: Q. Can you give us your elevator pitch? Jack: Part3 is a platform that simplifies construction administration through automation and intelligence. We are a niche within a niche. Q. How has participating in the event impacted your business? Jack: As a direct result of this event, I received three offers to invest and participate in my seed round. I also had other referrals that led to other opportunities and investment. I met people I never would have met organically, which was fantastic. Q. Can you share your experience participating in last year’s pitch event in Toronto? Jack: The event was great. The evening networking event before the pitch day was a bit of a surprise to me. It was really valuable as we got to mingle with other founders and all the investors and connect with a lot of other members of the ecosystem. I’ve stayed in touch with a lot of people I met at the event. As for the pitch day, it was great - it’s a much more intimate kind of event as opposed to a typical pitch event. Q. What advice would you give to someone considering applying for this year’s event? Jack: There is nothing to lose and so much to gain. This is not your typical pitch event because it’s not built to be a competition that fuels an audience. It’s a meaningful event conducted with utmost respect for your time. Like the fact that you get 25 minutes with the investors means you can paint the full picture of your business and still get substantial Q&A time with investors. Q. What’s next for Part3? Jack: We’re going to keep growing. We have a big, ambitious mission to become the complete operating system for architects and engineers throughout the construction administration process. BDO’s #VCPitchDay gets scaling and emerging #tech companies in front of some of the top #VentureCapitalists in the country. Applications close Sep. 12, 2024, for Halifax, Toronto, and Vancouver, and Sep. 26, 2024 for Montreal. Apply now. https://direc.to/kHvV

Capital Raising Secrets 🔓 Your materials are ready—how to launch your cap raise? Hold on—materials are just the first step. You need to show up and expand your network. Here’s how: ▶ Attend Events: Go to local and major city (NY, SF, Boston) events. Look for angel networks, mentor programs, and accelerators. ▶ Soft Launch: Start collecting reservations and investments through 1:1 outreach. Offer early access to angel investors, friends and family, and customers. Aim to secure over 25% of your funding goal. ▶ Public Launch: Reach beyond your personal network. Make a list of investors you want to meet and strategize how to approach them. ▶ Show ROI: Prepare a media kit, investor updates, FAQs, and an organized data room. 💡 Remember how Adam Neumann got to Masayoshi Son? That’s how you prepare! How do you find out about local events? Have you started building your network for a potential raise? Any other tips from experienced entrepreneurs? Launching your cap raise can seem daunting - Angels Landing was too. Did you do it?

What does it take to turn a pitch into a successful raise? In the past few months, we worked with a startup that faced challenges many founders can relate to. - They didn’t have a clear fundraising strategy. - Their documents didn’t tell the story investors wanted to hear. - And they weren’t sure how much to raise or what terms to offer. But now? They’ve closed their round How did we help them do it? I’ll be sharing the full story soon. P.S. We just launched a free pitch deck guide. It’s meant for entrepreneurs looking for help with building a pitch deck. You can get it on my profile!
