A salary increase can bring momentary joy, but a healthy work culture provides fulfillment every day. 💼🌟 In today’s corporate world, we often equate success with financial rewards. While a salary bump offers temporary satisfaction, its impact fades quickly. True, lasting happiness comes from a positive work environment. Here's why: ✨ Mental Well-being: A supportive culture reduces stress and boosts productivity, fostering both professional and personal growth. ✨Collaboration & Innovation: Open communication and idea-sharing lead to greater innovation and teamwork. ✨Stronger Relationships: Respect and inclusivity build camaraderie, making the workday more enjoyable. ✨Growth Opportunities: A healthy culture encourages continuous learning and development, empowering employees to reach their full potential. 💹 While financial rewards matter, the real value lies in a work culture that nurtures, empowers, and respects its people. 👉 Let’s prioritize environments that foster well-being and growth. After all, the true measure of success isn’t just the paycheck, but how employees feel every day. 🌱 Do you agree? 👇🏻 Comment now. 🌱 #WorkCulture #EmployeeWellbeing #CareerGrowth #CEOmindset #Orbizenstudio

🌟All that glitters is not gold!🌟 Sure, a 7-figure salary, perks like free meals and transport, and a generous leave policy may dazzle you at first glance. But are they truly the markers of happiness at work? Beyond the allure of material benefits, let's delve deeper into what truly matters: the work environment, attrition rates, HR policies, and how employee-centric the organization truly is. 🏢 Before you make that career leap, take a moment to listen to what both current and former employees are saying. 💬 Their experiences paint a clearer picture of what it's really like behind the scenes. After all, what good is a hefty paycheck if it comes at the cost of your work-life balance or feeling undervalued? Sometimes, a modest salary paired with transparency and a supportive culture can lead to greater satisfaction and fulfillment. 💼✨ So, before you make your next move, pause, reflect, and choose wisely. Your happiness and well-being deserve nothing less! 💭 #employeefirst #employeebenefits #employeeadvocacy #organisationalculture #worklifebalance #choosewisely

🕒 Imagine a world where the 32-hour workweek is the new norm. Bernie Sanders, in the US, is leading the charge with a groundbreaking bill that could redefine work-life balance as we know it. 🌍 This isn’t just about working less; it’s about living more. It’s about efficiency, productivity, and most importantly, happiness. What does this mean for the working population? Innovation, flexibility, and a happier workforce. 💡👨💼👩💼 As we dive into the details in this article, https://lnkd.in/eTATA5-E, let’s start a conversation on how we can embrace this change: • How will it impact productivity? • What changes will businesses need to make? • Is society ready for this shift? The future of work is knocking. Let’s open the door to new possibilities and push back against the narrative from the UK Government that people are lazy, sick, benefit scroungers. 🚪✨ What are your thoughts? Let’s discuss. #FutureOfWork #32HourWorkweek #WorkLifeBalance

Struggling to keep up with 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐕𝐄 salary rates in the market? 😵 Attracting top talent doesn't always have to be about offering the highest pay check, here are some ideas that you could promote ... just remember to 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐄 them! 🏝 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Consider increasing annual leave from the standard 20 days to 23 or more. A little extra time off can go a long way in improving work-life balance. ⏰ 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡: Could your team wrap up the week at 16:30 on Fridays? It might seem small, but it can make a big difference to everyone’s weekend! 🥓 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: How about treating the team to breakfast on Fridays? Whether it's a McDonald's breakfast or homemade bacon sarnies, it's a great way to start the day on a positive note. 🩺 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬: Allow employees to attend doctor’s appointments without deducting from their holiday entitlement. It shows you care about their well-being. 🍽️ 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐬: A slightly extended lunch break can provide a much-needed breather and enhance productivity. It’s not always about the salary. These perks can create a more engaged, motivated, and loyal workforce. What other perks would you add to the list? 🤔 #WorkLifeBalance #CompanyCulture #TalentAttraction

A salary increase can provide a temporary boost in happiness, offering financial relief and validation of one's hard work. However, the joy it brings is often fleeting, typically lasting only until the initial excitement wears off. In contrast, a healthy workplace, characterized by supportive colleagues, a positive culture, and a balanced workload, fosters ongoing well-being and job satisfaction. Such an environment not only enhances daily experiences but also contributes to long-term mental and emotional health. Thus, while a salary hike is a once-a-year thrill, a healthy workplace sustains happiness throughout the year, making it crucial for overall employee satisfaction and productivity.

You may start seeing more about a possible 32-hour work week if this bill gets more traction. Considerations/reactions vary based on whether this bill is about providing for more earnings or more recovery time. Sen. Sanders frequently discusses income and wealth inequality, so my guess is the former. I'll leave the earnings discussion to the economists and note a few interesting implications of shifting to the shortened week in general. (Note: for an interesting discussion about the history/critique of the 32-hour work week, see Veal, 2023.) 1) A shorter week means increased recovery time. This means that we may see burnout numbers decrease. Alternatively, though, a shorter week means that people may work harder on their days "in office" which increases the likelihood for burnout due to exhaustion. It's like going to the gym 1 less day a week, but working 20% harder on those other days...will it really help you recover? I anticipate some unique examinations of this in the next several years. 2) A shorter week means increased leisure time. As a nation, however, we have moralized work fairly well (see Celniker et al., 2023, for a recent discussion; and Graeber, 2018, for a critique of such moralization). Thus, what will we do with this leisure time? Will we actually rest? Or will we engage in what Andy Crouch (IIRC) and others have deemed "fake rest" that does little to infuse energy, creativity, and life back into our worlds? Perhaps with this increased leisure time, we'll take on a different job; after all, those idle hands... In this case, we defeat some parts of the recovery purpose. It's this second point that I'm most worried about - do we know how to rest well? Do we understand what Bertrand Russell was praising about idleness? Would we indulge our curiosity and creativity; would we rekindle our sense of wonder with this newfound free time? I'm not sure (or confident), but I can hope, I suppose. "There was formerly a capacity for light-heartedness and play which has been to some extent inhibited by the cult of efficiency. The modern man thinks that everything ought to be done for the sake of something else, and never for its own sake." (Russell, 1932) https://lnkd.in/ghQhvpUY

52% of employees reported that they do not take all of the time off that they are offered, and most of those employees wanted to take the time off but chose not to. When this choice becomes a habit, it increases the risk of employee unhappiness and burnout! One powerful tool that can ensure employees get the time off they need is: Paid Holidays.
