I've RARELY worked with an organization that has built such a passionate and caring community. Here is what I learned leading this strategic planning ⬇ To build a passionate following of people who will go to the end of the world to support what you do, do the following: 1. BE THOUGHTFUL - Bill and Christina (founders of the organization) always followed up with something thoughtful after having a great conversation with someone. Be it a copy of Bill's book, a note, or even a picture book! They always went out of their way to make a special encounter even more memorable by gifting something. 2. SHOW UP ENTHUSIASTICLY - One of the most consistent feedback we heard throughout the stakeholder engagement process was how much people LOVED Bill and Christina's personality. Their energy was infectious and all stakeholders enjoyed their presence. 3. ALWAYS BE BRANDING - Let this sink in, since starting their organization 3 years ago, I've NEVER not seen them wearing their brand. They rep their business all day, every day–and it shows. #strategicplanning #nonprofit #communityengagement #communitybuilding #stakeholderengagement #strategy

Some new work for Company of Cooks and this really highlights some of the reasons I love working with them: 1. They’re brave. Company of Cooks always pushes us to raise the bar and deliver even better work. While others in their industry might stick to the usual playbook, they embrace bold ideas that set them apart. 2. They’re action-oriented. Instead of just talking about culture and impact, they live it. I'm a big believer in showing, not telling. Like in this video – we could’ve gone the easy route with a scripted piece hitting buzzwords, but what’s more authentic than just letting their staff chat (over a few drinks!)? 3. They value quality. Great production value matters and this video looks incredible. That’s no accident – it’s what happens when a company sees the value in investing in high-quality content. We’ve become Company of Cooks' trusted video partner, meaning we truly know their business, their people, and their values, which results in better work.
At the heart of Company of Cooks, you’ll find our team! Our people are the essence of everything that goes into our business, and we’re excited to share a glimpse of the passion, creativity and dedication that drives us each day. See what makes our culture so special. Craft, Creativity, Community. We are Company of Cooks. #CompanyOfCooks #InsideCompanyofCooks #MollysHoxton #AfterHours #Teamwork #Community

In today’s interconnected and rapidly changing world, diversity and inclusion are no longer optional for organisations—they’re essential for long-term success and meaningful impact. As a large brand like Good Food with significant influence, we bear a unique responsibility not only to identify diverse talent but to actively nurture, develop, and empower individuals from varied backgrounds to contribute to and shape our industry. Beyond being the right thing to do, prioritising diverse talent unlocks creativity and fosters innovation. When we invest in diverse talent, we strengthen our teams, our industry, and our communities. This is why I’m thrilled about Good Food’s Rising Stars 2024. Meeting the finalists last week and witnessing their talent first hand was truly inspiring! Later this week you can catch the first of three episodes on YouTube following their journey. Until then, I’m excited to share the trailer for this fantastic series. https://lnkd.in/gzDjVnr5 You may not be able to launch something like this so here are three ways we can all help drive talent diversity: - Expand recruitment channels to reach underrepresented communities. - Offer mentorship and career development to diverse talent. - Foster an inclusive culture that empowers all employees to thrive. Finally, a massive thank you to all colleagues who have been part of this initiative and our fantastic judges Cassie Best and Max La Manna. Ever wondered how to uncover deeper purpose in your work? After Shiok Kitchen Catering ‘s recent Food Rescue, I had the privilege of picking the brains of Winnie Cheong and Karen Yip Taylor 叶珮瑩 the inspiring founders of The Red Collective and Summit Rescues – two thriving food rescue organizations they've built from the ground up. Their passion and impact are undeniable, and I really wanted to know what got them there. After much generous sharing on their part I believe I’ve distilled the secret sauce of their success down to a powerful blend of curiosity, courage, and compassion. Curiosity first sparked their exploration of Singapore's complex and erratic food rescue landscape. There is so much to learn about the food insecure communities in order to understand how to be of help to them. The “village chiefs” in each residential cluster are highly engaged with and consulted for food rescue to be successful. Courage fueled their drive to build their organizations, secure resources like a dedicated truck to deliver food products, fighting stereotypes and overcoming all manners of obstacles. Compassion guided them towards a deserving cause; to meet the needs of the have-nots, matching surplus to demand and training countless volunteers from all walks of life, not just on technical know-how but how to carry themselves with pride. I’d go so far as to say that I believe this winning combination of "3 C's" can unlock purpose and meaning for anyone, in any field. Are you living out your definition of "3 C's"? How are you wielding them to create positive change and find deeper fulfillment in your life and work? #FoodRescue #SocialImpact #PurposeDriven #Inspiration #onelife

Raw Culture Scores a Hat Trick (and More)! #NESFoodandDrinkAwards Huge news, Raw Culture fam! We've been shortlisted for a whopping three categories in the North East Scotland Food and Drink Awards 2024! Best Drinks Product: Cheers to that! We're thrilled our kombucha is in the running. Most Innovative Business: Pushing boundaries and brewing deliciousness! Team of the Year (with a twist!) Wait, a team award? Here's the cool part: We're nominated alongside Singularity Sauce Co.! ️ Running a business can be tough, so me and my good friend Mark McAulay from Singularity Sauce Co. have formed a unique alliance. It's all about collaboration, not competition. We combine skillsets, share workload, and leverage each other's strengths. It's like having an extra team member without the overhead, allowing us to reach new heights (and quench more thirsts!). This "decoupled team" approach is something we believe others can benefit from! We're breaking down barriers and creating a new way of working to cover more ground than would possible alone. Big thanks to Opportunity North East Limited for their ongoing support! Good luck to all finalists! We can't wait to celebrate at the awards night. #ScottishBusiness #KombuchaLove #CollaborationOverCompetition #SupportLocal
