Are you an Innovator or a Stagnator? That's the black-and-white question that millions of Medics are suddenly finding themselves forced to answer by the pop quiz which is the NHS healthcare crisis. And no, in a world full of constant change, those are the only two options. If you're not innovating, you are stagnating. Innovators are SOLUTION-focused, looking for HOW a problem CAN be solved, trying multiple approaches UNTIL they solve the problem...whether at a micro or a macro level. Stagnators are PROBLEM-focused, wasting their brilliant intellects and creativity on lazily describing the status quo, instead of defying the status quo with questions and comments and “James Dyson” failures in pursuit of a breakthrough...again, at micro as well as macro levels. Stagnators spend hours moaning and groaning about GPs forced to take up jobs at Tesco…whilst Innovators quietly celebrate the brilliant chess move of sorting out cash flow, getting established within the Tesco ecosystem, and making inside connections ahead of Tesco’s planned launch of private GP services for its 310,000 employees. So in today’s #hereticfriday post, I thought it would be cool to shine the light on some GP surgeries who have been Purple Cows (ala Seth Godin's brilliant book) in the healthcare space in the past…and might be open to you initiating a conversation or collaboration as an Innovator. 1. Hurley Group: Dame Clare Gerada - Innovated with the eConsult Health online platform to enhance patient access and efficiency. 2. Doctorcall: Charles Levinson - Pioneered private home visiting services and corporate healthcare solutions for flexibility and convenience. 3. **BABYLON HEALTHCARE SERVICES LIMITED: : Ali Parsa - Blended #AI with #telemedicine, revolutionizing healthcare access with subscription-based GP services. 4. SmartClinics: Michael Spira - Integrated holistic and conventional medicine for personalized, preventative private GP services. 5. London Doctors Clinic: Seth Rankin - Offered transparent "walk-in" GP services with no registration, ideal for busy urban professionals. Feel free to tag or list others in the comments section. And the next time you engage with a post or a conversation, feel free to ask: are you an Innovator or a Stagnator? 1. **#HealthcareInnovation** 2. **#GPRevolution** 3. **#MedicalEntrepreneur** 4. **#DigitalHealth** 5. **#FutureOfMedicine**

Earlier this week, I had the privilege of reconnecting with Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman and Founder of the NH Group of Hospitals. The meeting brought back memories of 2019, when I first met him at NH during the IIMB GMHE immersion program. At that time, Dr. Shetty shared an ambitious vision: to create an affordable EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system tailored to India’s unique healthcare needs, priced at just ₹10,000. Fast forward to 2024, and he has not only fulfilled that promise but exceeded expectations. Dr. Shetty introduced Athma, an EMR platform designed specifically for the Indian context. Remarkably, it is offered free of cost to select organizations. Alongside Athma, he unveiled a suite of complementary tools: Namah, the nursing app; AADI, the doctor app; Aham, the admin app; and Athmatrix, a dashboard and analytics app powered by supervised machine learning. Dr. Shetty’s innovative efforts are spearheading a digital revolution in Indian healthcare, addressing affordability—a critical barrier for many. His initiatives aim to make healthcare delivery more accessible, efficient, and impactful. While challenges remain, taking the right first steps is pivotal, and this journey has already set us on a transformative path. The future holds great promise for change, and this progress is a testament to the power of visionary leadership. #digitalization #emr #HEALTHCARE #Narayanahealth #DeviShetty

🌟 Bridging the Gap in Indian Healthcare 🌟 In today's fast-paced world, the Indian healthcare system faces a unique challenge: the lack of a unified platform for doctors.
