When it comes to claim denials and patient access, AI in healthcare is like a multi-tool—it all depends on the approach. 🤔 Our Chief Data Scientist, Natalia Arzeno, shares how AI is transforming revenue cycle management—and it’s not a one-size-fits-all approach. Natalia’s advice? “Ask yourself—what’s the goal? Whether it’s prediction, automation, or analysis, align your objectives with the right AI approach to drive real results.” Takeaway: Not all AI is created equal. #AI #RCMAutomation #HealthcareTech

Managing PT/OT cases shouldn’t feel like a constant chase for missing information. Yet, when key details like Medicare cap amount or authorization requirements are missing from clearinghouse responses, it creates unnecessary delays and administrative headaches. That’s why we’ve introduced a new enhancement to Infinx Patient Access Plus. It now automatically pulls this critical data based on the type of insurance—no more relying solely on incomplete clearinghouse information. With this enhancement, you can: ✅ Get the right information upfront, improving case accuracy. ✅ Speed up authorizations and reduce denials. ✅ Free up more time to focus on patient care, not paperwork. Automation is no longer optional if you want to stay competitive and ensure smoother operations. Ask yourself: How much revenue is lost when cases are delayed due to missing information?

Prior authorization: the necessary hurdle no one asked for. According to this recent KLAS Research blog, the struggle is real—but so are the solutions. What stands out to me is how much value healthcare providers are placing on tech partnerships for results. For instance, Infinx customers mentioned our ability to drastically reduce manual effort and fix workflows. Here’s my take—if you’re drowning in prior auth inefficiencies, it’s time to stop asking how to fix the process and start asking who can help. Is radiology ready to break free from the cycle of manual workflows? Here’s the thing—automation isn’t just about going faster; it’s about freeing up your staff for the tasks only humans can handle. Imagine AI picking up on the ‘tribal knowledge’ that would otherwise vanish with turnover. Now your team can focus on critical cases and peer-to-peer interactions without worrying about missed steps. Take the first step by automating repetitive tasks and see the difference it makes. Radiology teams, what routine tasks could you hand over to automation? #InfinxPatientAccess #Infinx #PatientAccess #FrontEndRevenue #Productivity #HealthcareOperation #HealthcareAdministration

As I attended multiple healthcare technology conferences and was a panelist across multiple sessions, the term "AI arms race" was mentioned several times. Everyone wants to know how providers can keep up. It’s clear that organizations who harness AI effectively will have a decisive advantage. While some payers are using AI to streamline prior authorizations—often to the detriment of patient access—providers must also leverage AI to stay competitive and protect the patient experience. The healthcare sector is at a tipping point. As AI becomes more prevalent, the days of manual processes and long approval times must come to an end. At Infinx, we’re seeing AI revolutionize prior authorizations by automating redundant tasks like documentation submission and verification, freeing up valuable time for providers. But AI alone isn’t enough. It must work in tandem with human intelligence to handle complex cases, where nuance and judgment are essential. This synergy between AI and human intelligence is the only way to balance efficiency with the quality of care. AI can help identify and preempt denial patterns, significantly improving approval times and reducing revenue leakage from denied claims. To thrive, providers need to take actionable steps: invest in AI tools that align with your goals, and foster a culture where technology and human expertise work hand in hand. PS - Please drop a note in the comments if you have an alternative name for AI arms race. Otherwise get ready to see and hear it again and again!
