High visibility traffic enforcement combined with public outreach and education can reduce the dangerous driving behaviors that are all too commonplace on our roads. A new study from the Behavioral Traffic Safety Cooperative Research Program finds that “all of the HVE campaign studies showed positive impacts in the metrics evaluated.” This includes reductions in drunk driving crashes and deaths, increases in seat belt use, less cell phone use while driving and fewer pedestrian crashes. The report also provides four frameworks that agencies can use to evaluate and improve their campaigns. The need for Cloud-native computer aided dispatch systems is increasing and PSAP & ECC leaders no longer need to be anxious about the cost, design, and configuration. The questions and concerns are now easier to answer and address and the business value and ROI has become easy to assess. The PROS are beginning to outweigh the cons and agencies are excited about the operational flexibility, security, disaster readiness, and scalability that cloud-native CAD’s offer. Vendor maintenance and the process of applying system updates, bug fixes, and patches is also greatly simplified and improving the stability of CAD environments. If your agency has a CAD upgrade or replacement on the horizon why not explore all of the available options, if nothing else you’ll learn about all the possibilities and make a more informed decision. 👍
We are LIVE @ 43 with Fort Myers Police Department at #APCO2024 who is live dispatching through our cloud-native CAD system at our booth #706! Come check it out and see how dispatchers are using our modern public safety technology in real-time! #Mark43 #APCO2024 #FortMyersPD

PAS 13 Code of Practice | Effective Pedestrian Segregation Safety barriers should be present whenever pedestrians and vehicles operate within one metre of each other and when no raised kerbs are installed. Where possible, pedestrian routes should be created to correspond as closely as possible with desire lines to dissuade pedestrians from attempting potentially hazardous shortcuts across active traffic routes. #AMS #ASAFE

SIA licence holders play a vital role in protecting members of the public - often in the most demanding circumstances. Good operatives take all necessary steps to keep themselves, and anyone being restrained, as safe as possible. We attend a number of coroner’s inquests every year and see the sometimes tragic results of restraints that go wrong. It is important to remember the impact of such actions. ➡️ Watch our guidance video. https://orlo.uk/5EFrc #SIAInfo #ProtectingThePublic
