🗣 The CCSA's Head of EU External Affairs Stefano Miriello recently chaired a panel discussion at a Belgo-British CCUS event hosted by the British Embassy Brussels. The discussion explored the opportunities and challenges for a closer Belgo-British collaboration and a potential Europe-wide market for CO₂. Thanks to the British Embassy Brussels for bringing stakeholders together for this important discussion on international collaboration. #CCUS | #CarbonCapture | #NetZero
We had great insights and interesting discussions last Monday during our Belgo-British CCUS roundtable in Brussels. Key stakeholders from both countries met to discuss how Belgium and the UK could collaborate to develop integrated CO2 capture and storage solutions. Tomas Wyns set the scene by sharing his views on the status of the shift to net-zero as well as offering out-of-the-box suggestions on how policy can be enhanced to accelerate or overcome some of the challenges. The opening presentation was followed by a panel discussion chaired by Stefano Miriello from Carbon Capture and Storage Association, which explored the opportunities and challenges for a closer Belgo-British collaboration and a potential Europe-wide market for CO2. It was great to hear the insights from our industry panel Gabrielle Gauthey, Hanne Talboom Pierre Girard and Leen Vanhamme on this. Many thanks to all participants and we look forward to bringing these plans to the next level.”
