📢 De Buf Succeeds Automix as Distributor for Imer Group Concrete Mixers in Belgium 📢   The IMER Group appoints DE BUF CONCRETE MIXERS as the new distributor for the sale and service of its concrete mixers in the Belgian market. Over the past year, both parties have gotten to know each other better through Automix, and all three see this new partnership as a strong strategy to serve and expand the customer base. Automix is therefore passing the torch with confidence.   The Imer Group is the European market leader in the production of concrete mixers, with approximately 3,500 units rolling off the line each year. For decades, Automix represented this high-quality brand in Belgium, serving customers from the coast to the Ardennes. Following its integration into the Belgian Industrial Group in 2019, Automix decided this year to focus fully on the design and construction of concrete batching plants for the future—a sector in which it is experiencing strong growth, and one that aligns with the activities of its sister companies, SPARX Industries (Industrial Piping; 150 employees and 20 million EUR in revenue) and DAXI - Clever Railway Solutions (Railway Solutions; 20 employees and 7 million EUR in revenue).   De Buf, based in Oostkamp, is the market leader in Belgium for concrete mixers on trucks and trailers. Since its founding in 1988, the company has steadily evolved from building truck-mounted cranes to establishing its own production hall for trailers and concrete mixers, and, as of last year, the assembly of Sermac-branded concrete pumps. By partnering with a global player like the Imer Group, De Buf further solidifies its name as a quality player in the market. ⭐ F.H. Bertling Logistics has successfully transported two heavy shunt reactors from Sweden to different sites in Belgium. Bertling's scope included #port operations, #oceanfreight, road transport, crane operations and thorough site assessments. The heaviest of the #reactor pieces weighed 120 tons and required specialist planning due to an asymmetrical center of gravity. At the first site, precise timing was crucial, as the delivery of the components had to coincide with a local #power shutdown. At the second, additional groundwork including transport beams, wooden mats and protective plating was required to navigate tricky roads, with Bertling's skilled driver forced to reverse along several kilometers of challenging terrain. 👨‍🎓 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀!  Last Friday, #expertatplay Joshua Marysse contributed to the 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 event hosted by ABTUS-BVOTS - the belgian tunnel association - which this year focused on sustainability. 🌱 In his presentation, Joshua discussed a sustainable material trade-off for bicycle tunnels, comparing in-situ poured concrete and corrugated steel sheets. He emphasized the importance of considering all facets of sustainability when making decisions, including: ✅ technical durability, ✅ environmental impact and ✅ circularity potential.
