What most people get wrong about communication: 👇 That arguments are something to win, not something to unravel. I like to think about arguments as knots in the conversation, and what gets worse is when you pull your way and the other person pulls their way... versus looking at it and saying Help me with the knot, how can we unravel this? How can we smooth it out? The next time you find yourself in an argument, take a step back and focus on unraveling the knot, rather than pulling it tighter. #communication #argument #collaboration

One thing I’ve learned early on was the power of communication. That’s the value of prioritizing open and clear communication for successful collaboration. 👉🏽 Confused about something? Communicate. 👉🏽 Feeling uncertain or worried? Communicate. 👉🏽 Need to revisit an approach? Communicate. 👉🏽 Uncomfortable with a situation? Communicate. 👉🏽 Rather than making assumptions? Communicate. You'll be surprised at what you can accomplish and the problems you can solve with this approach. It’s a lifesaver. . . #communication #collaboration #teamwork #selfdevelopment

When you know what you're talking about, ditch these sayings and say what you know with confidence and ownership. ❌ Correct Me If I'm Wrong The person who says this knows they are 100% correct ❌ If I Recall Correctly A person who knows they are recalling correctly ❌ I Think A person who knows they are 100% correct Say what you mean and mean what you say Clear and direct communication is always best #Communication #Collaboration

Have you ever felt unheard in a conversation? Like your point of view just bounced off a brick wall? In today's world, where communication is key, one of the most valuable skills we can possess is the ability to see things from another perspective. When we listen with the intent to understand, not just to reply, communication reaches a whole new level. Sure, disagreements will still arise or inevitable. But imagine this: a conversation where everyone feels heard and respected. Suddenly, working towards a common goal becomes a collaborative effort, not a tug-of-war. #CommunicationSkills #Perspective #Collaboration

When you go into meetings/discussions/mediations/negotiations with intent and motive already assigned to the other party, you might as well cancel the sit down. Why? Because you've already decided the outcome of the talk. When you do this, you're closing yourself off and robbing the other person from speaking their truth. That's not to say don't be prepared for any number of possibilities, but go in with an open mind and you might just be surprised by what you learn. #communication
