I recently Completed this amazing Woman in Leadership development program. It was so empowering. #YourStoryMatter #WomanEmpowerment #WomansMonth #absa Empowering Africa 's tomorrow, together…one story at a time My key take aways from the program were: 1.Finding Your Voice and Authenticity: It’s incredibly empowering to recognize the importance of having a voice and being authentic. As women, societal expectations and historical norms sometimes lead us to hold back or doubt ourselves. But when we embrace our uniqueness and speak up, we contribute valuable perspectives and ideas. ● 2.Identifying Your Competitive Advantage: Strategic partnerships and alliances. It is empowering being able to Recognize that this is one of my key strengths and my ability to form these connections is a significant. Leveraging these relationships can open doors, create opportunities, and by nurturing those connections—they’re like seeds that grow into fruitful collaborations. ● 3.Networking and Relationship Maintenance: networking isn’t just about collecting business cards at events. It’s about building genuine relationships. Staying connected, supporting others, and seeking support when needed are essential. Networking isn’t a one-time activity; it’s an ongoing process that enriches both personal and professional lives. ● 4.Self-Care Matters: Self-care often gets overlooked, especially when we’re busy juggling responsibilities. it’s not selfish—it’s essential. When we take care of ourselves, we’re better equipped to handle challenges, maintain resilience, and show up fully for others. ● 5.The Journey of Learning, Unlearning, and Relearning: Growth involves shedding old beliefs, learning new skills, and adapting to change. It’s a lifelong journey—one that keeps us curious and open-minded.

Mentorship offers a safe space for women to discuss challenges, seek advice, and receive support. A mentor can provide guidance on work-life balance, career planning, and personal development. By providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth, mentors can help women overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve their career aspirations.
