Snags Stall the Momentum of Indian Aviation! More and more Indians are choosing to fly for their commutes, favoring airlines over traditional railway travel. The record number of aircraft orders by major Indian airlines recently became a talking point, signaling an imminent surge in the Indian aviation industry. However, the news of slowing aircraft production at Boeing and inspections of Pratt and Whitney engines on Airbus A320neo planes have disrupted expansion plans for airlines like Akasa, Air India Express, and IndiGo. Consequently, air ticket fares are expected to rise. We all hope that the external global issues, which have caused this sudden slowdown in the aviation industry's growth, will be resolved quickly, allowing global aircraft manufacturers to sort out their production challenges. #IndianAviation #AirTravel #Boeing #Airbus #PrattAndWhitney #AkasaAir #AirIndiaExpress #IndiGo #AviationIndustry #indianinfrastructure #airport #infrastructure #Aviation #Airport #Airline #AirportOperations #India #India2024 #July2024 #linkedin #EBSConsultancyGroup

Regulation and Procedures for Obtaining India Overflight Permit | ops@flytag.co If you operate a business jet or commercial airline and intend to fly over India airspace, securing a India Overflight Permit from the India Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is obligatory. As a flight dispatcher, it is crucial to thoroughly grasp the prerequisites for obtaining this permit. It's noteworthy that acquiring an overflight permit signifies clearance without political or security objections towards your airline, aircraft, or originating/destination country, along with the absence of outstanding navigation fees owed to the ATC authority. Key Inquiries: What are the operating hours of the CAA, including weekends availability? Which aircraft documents are requisite for the overflight request? Are there any processing fees levied by the CAA for the permit? What is the official duration of validity for the overflight permit, as determined by the CAA? How can the India air navigation bill be obtained, either via IATA or a local agent? https://lnkd.in/gfz7QtE Tags: #aviation #airlinesandairplanes #businessaviation #bizav #flightplanning #primetripsupport #planning #flightoperations #flightsupport #fleet #groundhandling #pakistan #india #bangladesh #malaysia #airports #transportation #aircraft #airline #cargo #charteraircraft #aviationsafety #helicopter #passengerflights #privateflights #logistics #freight #Airlinetransport #Ambulanceflights #charteroperators #internationalairports #pilots #aviationtransport #ferryflights #aeroplanes #airlineindustry #aircraftsales #aviationindustry #operations #aircraftmanagement #privatejet #dispatchmanagement #flightdispatch #humanitarian #generalaviation #cargoaircrafts #privateflight #overflypermits #Landingpermits #Aviationfuel #evacuation #medicalsupplies #deliveryflights #flightsupport

The Indian aviation sector is witnessing a significant shift as Air India and Vistara have officially merged, solidifying the industry’s transition into a duopoly. In October 2024, domestic air passenger traffic grew by 5.3% year-on-year, reaching 1.36 crore passengers. IndiGo led the market, carrying 86.40 lakh passengers and capturing an impressive 63.3% market share. Air India followed with 38.91 lakh passengers, accounting for 28.5% of the market. Meanwhile, SpiceJet and Akasa Air secured only 2.4% and 5.4% of the market, respectively, highlighting the growing dominance of the two major players. Together, IndiGo and Air India now command over 90% of the domestic aviation market, underscoring the emergence of a clear duopoly. With SpiceJet and Akasa Air facing operational challenges, this consolidation marks a pivotal moment for the Indian aviation industry, reshaping its competitive landscape. #IndianAviation #MarketDynamics #AviationGrowth

These are some fascinating facts about the Indian aviation industry that are worth noting. Did you know that in December 2023, domestic air traffic handled 13.8 million passengers? However, what's truly surprising is that more than 90% of the 1.4 billion people in India have never flown in a flight. The Indian aviation industry is set to implement new regulations from June 1, 2024. However, representatives from Air India, Indigo, SpiceJet, and Vistara are all trying to push back this date by a year. The Federation of Indian Airlines has noted that before implementing the new rules, they will require 25% more pilots, which may result in the cancellation of up to 20% of flights daily. It will be interesting to see how the Indian aviation industry manages to attract millions of potential customers while prioritizing the safety and security of passengers and pilots. #indianaviation #boeing #industryanalysis #aircraft #airplane #pilot #airportsafety #airbus
