Snags Stall the Momentum of Indian Aviation! More and more Indians are choosing to fly for their commutes, favoring airlines over traditional railway travel. The record number of aircraft orders by major Indian airlines recently became a talking point, signaling an imminent surge in the Indian aviation industry. However, the news of slowing aircraft production at Boeing and inspections of Pratt and Whitney engines on Airbus A320neo planes have disrupted expansion plans for airlines like Akasa, Air India Express, and IndiGo. Consequently, air ticket fares are expected to rise. We all hope that the external global issues, which have caused this sudden slowdown in the aviation industry's growth, will be resolved quickly, allowing global aircraft manufacturers to sort out their production challenges. #IndianAviation #AirTravel #Boeing #Airbus #PrattAndWhitney #AkasaAir #AirIndiaExpress #IndiGo #AviationIndustry #indianinfrastructure #airport #infrastructure #Aviation #Airport #Airline #AirportOperations #India #India2024 #July2024 #linkedin #EBSConsultancyGroup

Is Air India’s Aggressive Aircraft Order Strategy the Right Move? ✈️ @AirIndia orders another 100 @Airbus aircraft: 10 A350s for long-haul luxury and ultra-long routes 90 A320s to bolster domestic and regional connectivity This new order is in addition to the 470 aircraft ordered last year at a whopping $70 billion sticker price! The question is: Is Air India's strategy of massive fleet expansion bold or risky? Should they aim for slower, sustainable growth like @IndiGo, which has focused on profitability and consistent expansion in its fleet and network over time? With aviation markets being highly competitive and unpredictable, balancing fleet size, profitability, and passenger demand is key. Nov 17 turned out to be a #SuperSunday for Indian aviation with the number of domestic flyers in a day crossing the five-lakh mark for the first time ever. Sunday’s 3,173 domestic flights carried over #5Lakh passengers. Airlines’ went pretty full with IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet and Akasa seeing over 90 per cent occupancies. While IndiGo and Tata’s Air India group are adding planes very aggressively, the return of SpiceJet with recent funding and the end of the strike at Boeing that raises hopes of steadying deliveries of B737s to Akasa and AI Express, shows capacity will only increase. As things are right now, aviation in India is currently in the phase of consolidation and stability, and once it starts gaining more profitability, there shall definitely be more than two significant players, according to Air India's CEO and MD, Campbell Wilson. "Domestic Passenger Market" is the hub that's been cornered by the airlines—Tata-owned Air India, alongside IndiGo; those account for well over 90%. #IndianAviation #AirIndia #IndiGo #AviationIndustry #CampbellWilson #TataGroup #DomesticMarket #AirlineConsolidation #AviationGrowth #IndianAirlines #ceosofbharat

Highlight for this Week? Air India Orders another 100 Aircrafts from Airbus. This would bring the total orders upto 570 Aircrafts(including 470 Aircrafts Orders placed on 2023). This Order had surpassed Indigo's 500 Aircraft Orders in 2023. It will be Interesting to see on how this aircrafts will be divided amongst AirIndia and Air India Express. Another Interesting thing would be With the Tier 1 Airports reaching it's capacity with less available parking space for Aircrafts, where will these Aircrafts Parked? Definitely the next focus would be on Tier 2 and Tier 3 Cities Airport Developments which would further strengthen our Aviation Sector. #AirIndia #Aviation Read the Full Article:https://lnkd.in/g8tRyQBz
