Visibility tip: female leaders who feel uncomfortable about being visible can overcome this barrier by making it not about them. Here's how: being a visible female leader normalises women in leadership roles. Men are overwhelmingly visible in this space, so being a visible female leader demonstrates to other women that a leadership career is within reach, while also starting to balance the visibility of women and men in leadership roles. Where are all the women leaders? Still less than 25% of the boardroom seats are held by women globally in 2023 It occured to me recently that this is a statistic that should still surprise us if we really think that skilled & actualized diversity is beneficial for business.
