𝟭𝘀𝘁 “𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 & 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺” aimed to bring together the various players in the charging chain (grid operators, charging station operators, vehicle and battery experts, etc.) to discuss important issues. 🚗🔋 Short teaser presentations were given by selected experts on the topics of “#grid”, “#charging infrastructure” and “#V2X research”, each followed by a lively discussion in a fishbowl format. 🌍🤝 This enabled the "Vehicle & Grid Forum" to develop a common understanding of future problems within a heterogeneous group. 📄🌐 The results of these discussions will be published on the website in the upcoming days: https://lnkd.in/dy5GDv9R 🔄🗣️ The forum is planned as an annual event, whereby the format, which focuses on extremely open discussions, is to be retained. 🗓 #VehicleGridForum #EVCharging #SmartGrid #OpenDiscussion #SustainableFuture #CleanEnergy

🙏 thank you to everyone who has downloaded our report so far and for the feedback received to date. A few recurring queries that we have received: 1️⃣ The data included within the report is based on planning applications. Therefore, if a site does not require planning (e.g. the proposed charger falls within permitted development rights), it is not captured within the report. This is most likely to apply to slow and fast charger installations due to the charger size and often there is no requirement for additional supporting infrastructure (e.g. new substations, etc.). 2️⃣ Planning applications that were for sites not intended for public EV charging have not been included within the data set (e.g. private depots, residential developments, etc.). 3️⃣ The report is limited to just Scotland - if you are interested in other parts of the UK, please let me know and I'm sure we can gather the relevant data. #EVcharging #electricvehicles
Our report into planning applications submitted in Scotland incorporating public EV charging infrastructure was published last week. Below is a preview of the report. The full report is available for download at our website (https://lnkd.in/eigpYC_A). We hope you find this report of interest and please do let us know if you would be interested in a similar review of other areas in the UK and/or receiving regular updates of applications in your area of focus.

Unlocking the Power of Kinetics: How the ZOOZTER™-100 Flywheel Transforms EV Charging Ever wondered how ZOOZ’s kinetic flywheel delivers a significant power boost for 15 minutes? Meet the three-phase cycle that are reshaping ultra-fast EV charging: · Charging Phase: Electrical energy from the grid accelerates the flywheel to a mind-blowing 17,000 RPM, storing power as kinetic energy. · Levitating Phase: Reached optimal speed? The flywheel levitates in a vacuum, keeping the energy ready for the next EV. · Discharging Phase: When an EV plugs in, the flywheel decelerates, converting kinetic energy back into electricity to deliver a rapid power boost. 💡 By seamlessly cycling through these states, the ZOOZTER™-100 provides peak power to EV stations precisely when it’s needed, all while minimizing grid strain. Curious how this unique tech can redefine EV infrastructure? 🚗⚡Download our Whitepaper: https://lnkd.in/dyuN7vz5 #EVCharging

As we reflect on the excitement from ACT, one recurring topic has emerged to the forefront: if we want to electrify, we must solve the power problem. We heard from fleets, charging depot developers, charging station operators, and more about their struggles to source power for new EV charging stations. Between grid upgrades and interconnection permitting, some are waiting years for the grid to be able to supply the power needed for new infrastructure development. We talked through different strategies and existing options, and it became clear that the solutions of today just won't cut it. We need disruptive innovation to rethink the way power is used if we want to enable and accelerate our electrification journey. DG Matrix is committed to helping companies solve the power problem with highly-differentiated technology that revolutionizes how we think about our power systems. Keep an eye out for more content this week on approaches to mitigating and solving the power problem to drive electrification forward. #griddemand #electrification #grid #electricitygrid #utilitygrid #evcharging #electricvehicles #energy #cleanenergy #ders #microgrids
