Amazon sellers, the 2024 holiday shopping season is your chance to maximize visibility and reach more customers! By setting up Prime Exclusive Discounts, you can increase your visibility among Prime members, promote your top products, and drive more sales for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. How to get started: • Go to Prime Exclusive Discounts in the Advertising section of Seller Central. • Select a single product or a set of products to offer discounts to Prime members through December 2, 2024. • Ensure your Prime Exclusive price is at least 5% lower than any existing Price Discount to avoid suppression. Remember, the Prime Exclusive Discount will only be visible to Prime customers, while the Price Discount will still be available for non-Prime buyers. Key Points to Keep in Mind: • You can offer these discounts on Prime (FBA and Seller Fulfilled Prime) and non-Prime (seller-fulfilled) listings, helping you reach more shoppers. • Select whether your discount applies specifically to Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or both. •Promotions must be approved within seven days, or they’ll be canceled. While Amazon doesn’t guarantee the exact timing or visibility of deals, early planning can help you make the most of this high-traffic season Amazon is excited to support sellers this season – get your discounts set up and ready to go! #BlackFriday2024 #CyberMonday2024 #AmazonSellers #PrimeExclusiveDiscounts #HolidaySales #EcommerceTips

Did you ever had a discounted price higher than regular price? I did in Amazon Prime Days 📈 The Challenges of Discount Events and Prime Day Missteps Amazon Prime Days and similar discount events are eagerly anticipated, but not all deals are as good as they seem. Recently, I faced a pricing discrepancy that highlights broader issues in discount strategies. Prime Days and Misleading Discounts Amazon Prime Days, like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, promise significant discounts. However, I recently encountered an issue where a “discounted” keyboard was actually more expensive than its regular price. This isn't an isolated incident; last Black Friday, a Kamado Barbecue deal had impossible location requirements, rendering the discount fake. Despite receiving a 150 EUR voucher after a complaint, the problem persisted. ⚖ Regulatory Concerns Many regions have regulations to prevent deceptive pricing. These laws ensure discounts are genuine and prices aren't inflated just before sales. Misleading discount practices can result in legal consequences and damage consumer trust. If you are planning to do so on purpose, I would strongly recommend you not to do it. Plan your discounts as if you were your customer. Treat her fairly. Increasing prices for lowering is not fair. 💡 Conclusion Wrong pricing during discount events like Prime Days undermines trust and can lead to backlash. Retailers must adhere to fair pricing practices, ensuring transparency and genuineness in their discount strategies. This fosters customer loyalty, compliance with regulations, and a positive shopping experience. Consumers should stay vigilant and report deceptive practices to promote fairer markets. 💬 HAS THIS HAPPENED TO YOU? I read you in comments! #Pricing #DiscountPolicy #PrimeDays #RetailStrategy #CustomerTrust

Have you started/finished your Christmas shopping yet? Come on, it's almost August LOL. I saw this chart online and it really surprised me. Almost 3 out of 10 UK and US shoppers start to buy holiday gifts in October. Really? I find this almost hard to believe. What about you? When do you start, December 23rd? As noted on Emarketer, https://lnkd.in/g9mnavbJ © Emarketer, 2024. All Rights Reserved, the underlying reasons for this include: 1. Amazon has encouraged early holiday shopping behavior with the launch of Prime Big Deal Days, formerly known as the Prime Early Access sale. In October 2023, consumers spent $5.90 billion during the sales event. 2. Cyber Five is still a draw for shoppers looking for seasonal deals, with 62% planning to shop on Black Friday. 3. Cyber Five’s share of total ecommerce sales has dipped from the 20.0% peak it hit in 2019. Shop on and beat the crowds, I guess.
