Our latest PSA is a collaboration with the #TucsonFireDepartment about the ABC's of water safety are an essential guide to staying safe around water. "A" stands for adult supervision, emphasizing the importance of always having a responsible adult watching when children are near water. "B" stands for barriers, which means using fences and locks to prevent unsupervised access to pools and other bodies of water. "C" stands for classes, promoting the idea that both children and adults should learn how to swim and understand basic water safety skills. My organization worked to prevent passage of Initiative 2117 and Initiative 2066. We successfully ensured that 2117 failed, but 2066 narrowly passed. With more time, we knew the momentum was swinging our way we could have made sure 2066 failed, too. Here's my interview with KUOW
