Thank you The Water Entrepreneur Podcast. Fascinating and invaluable insights from Sally Gutierrez (ex-USEPA) on the process for setting water quality regulations in the USA. Several takeaways, including: (1) investments in water treatment systems need to be future proofed against the need to meet tougher regulatory standards in the future; (2) the limitations of traditional PFAS removal technologies and the need for these to be combined with PFAS destruction technologies to produce an overall solution; (3) regulatory limits are set based on the availability of technologies to monitor and systems to treat to that limit and the cost of doing so. Since 2011 AMS has been enabling municipalities and industries in the North America and Europe to comply with regulatory limits while minimizing their chemical and energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. #safedrinkingwater #environmentalprotection #innovation https://lnkd.in/gEB5gJae
