Genuine Candidates [email protected] Sr. FinOps Engine Rate : $65 - Remote only Description: As a Cloud FinOps Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud expenditures, ensuring cost efficiency, and supporting financial operations within our cloud environments. You will leverage your expertise in Apptio Cloudability and cloud cost optimization strategies to provide actionable insights, drive cost-saving initiatives, and enhance financial governance. Qualifications: • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Associate). • Experience with other FinOps tools and platforms. • Knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. • Relevant certifications in FinOps (FinOps Certified Practitioner, FinOps Certified Engineer, FinOps Certified Professional) • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Cloud FinOps Specialist or in a similar role with a focus on cloud cost management and optimization. • Hands-on experience with Apptio Cloudability and other cloud cost management tools. • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their pricing models. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Cloud Cost Management: • Monitor, analyze, and report on cloud spending and usage across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Implement cost optimization strategies to reduce cloud expenditures without compromising performance or reliability. 2. Apptio Cloudability Utilization: • Configure and maintain Apptio Cloudability to provide accurate cost reporting and allocation. • Develop and generate custom reports and dashboards to track cloud spending and identify cost-saving opportunities. 3. Financial Governance: • Establish and enforce cloud cost governance policies and best practices. • Collaborate with finance, procurement, and technical teams to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and chargeback processes. 4. Cost Optimization Initiatives: • Identify and execute initiatives to optimize cloud usage, including rightsizing, reserved instances, and unused resource cleanup. • Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools and techniques for cost optimization. 5. Stakeholder Collaboration: • Work closely with engineering, DevOps, and other teams to promote cost-aware development and operational practices. • Communicate cloud cost insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. 6. Cloud Vendor Management: • Manage relationships with cloud service providers, ensuring optimal pricing and contract terms. • Stay updated on the latest cloud pricing models, discounts, and service offerings.

It can be challenging for fully contingent staffing firms to have supervisor references pre checked. The main reasons are that: A) There is no guarantee the client will like the candidate B) There is no guarantee it will lead to revenue C) The job is urgent and sometimes can not wait for that to happen D) The candidate has worked for the same client for years and is not comfortable giving a supervisor reference as it will alert them that they are looking The economy right now isn't exactly at its peak and that has directly affected the staffing industry over the last 2 years. Overhead is at a high due to inflation. That being said, I have mandated LV Search Partners to send candidates with one checked recent supervisor reference (whenever applicable). If you have a tough to fill, niche role, that you are using an agency for and are not happy with the candidates that you are receiving, feel free to reach out to me directly and I will see if LV can help and if it makes sense to work together! #staffing #gaming #recruiting #gamingjobs
