I appreciate Diane Prince sharing this insight into the recruitment industry. My firm specializes in the IT and Tech sector. This blog provided a bit of perspective: just one millionth of a percentage of that industry sector business in 2024 is $4.32 MM. (Maybe my incredibly talented and knowledgeable bookkeeper Liz Sowers should check the math). For some large recruiting firms, that's a drop in their revenue "bucket." For most boutique firms, even if my math is a bit off, it's not such a terrible year. We in the recruitment industry often position ourselves in the market as helping companies hire "top talent" by improving efficiencies and processes. More than once I've caught myself bemoaning a client's outdated and overly complex hiring processes, untimely responses, etc. It could be just me... Perhaps we in the recruiting industry (myself included) who are hoping to grow their business or even better serve existing clients, might look at ourselves and review our own approaches and attitudes. Then when we offer to clients or prospective clients our services to make recruiting talent easier, more cost effective and efficient, it's because we've done the hard work ourselves in our own business and adapted to the needs of the market. https://lnkd.in/gmZxxiau
