You don't need to spend a lot of money on good marketing. You just need 2 things... 1) a compelling story 2) be consistent but here's why these 2 things are hard to nail: 1) a compelling story comes from: - understanding your customers on a deeper level that goes beyond your product and how they'll use it (but founders like to focus on product) - VoC analysis to pull out the common important threads from actual customer conversations (but VoC research is too time-consuming, aren't sales calls good enough??) - truth (vs. assumptions - assumptions are way easier amiright) - emotions (vs. logic - logic makes more sense and this is b2b where everyone's so logical no but srsly they totally are) - differentiated positioning (but we still can't figure out how we're actually different) - “Pull them in” (vs. “push them in” and it's way easier to push trust me I know bc I have kids) 2) being consistent is just...hard - if there's no source of truth for your positioning and messaging everyone's going to say different things and that's confusing - if there IS a source of truth for your positioning and messaging but not everyone agrees with it they're still going to say different things - sometimes we overlook / forget to be consistent so we show up differently in different places and that's confusing contrary to popular belief, you don't need to spend a lot of money on good marketing you just need: 1) a compelling story 2) be consistent need help nailing these? lemme know ✌️&❤️️ #marketing #startups #founders

3 common mistakes holding your eCom brand back from making $$$ with email: 1. Flows too short: You're sending only 1 email per automation. You should be sending (at least) 3. Adding more emails to your flows will boost revenue. 2. Not Resending Winners If you had a killer ad, would you stop running it after one day? So, why do that with email? If you have a winning email, resend it. I recommend doing a few re-sends every month. 3. Analysis paralysis: Overthinking: - A/B tests - Segmentation - Fancy graphic design This leads to overwhelm and a lot of brands end up doing nothing. SDRs - Struggling with your ramp? Here are 5 tips to immediately improve your results and beat your ramp 1. Meet with 3 top performing BDRs, pick their brains on everything from Prospecting, Research, Sequences, calls, emails, Linkedin DM's etc. Once you have a good pool of knowledge on strategies that are working in the current market you can adapt it and make it your own. 2. Problem enablement: The most important thing to know is WHO you help and HOW you help them. Speak to your AE's who've closed business, CSMs and your own internal personas. The goal is to be able to crisply articulate how you can help a target persona in a target account get to their desired state. No one cares about WHAT you do, they care about how you can help them. 3. Volume: Practice makes perfect, you're not going to get good without the reps so get out there and prepare to fail. 4. Double down: If you find one medium is yielding more meetings then double down on that one, e.g if you're booking 5 meetings a month through call and 1 via email, try changing to a call only sequence for a while to see if it ups your results. 5. Feedback loops: Regularly ask your top-performing peers, AEs and your manager in your 121 for SPECIFIC advice. This means you'll always be growing your skillset. You should convert your sales quickly. If your price-point is between $2,000 & $10,000, It should not take 3-5 months for a client to purchase. If this is happening, You are selling to the wrong audience. You should be able to close on the first or second call. In this video, I explain exactly how.

I wasted so much opportunity... My automations are trash. Yeah I rely on Calendly to run my schedule, Meets for calls, Hubspot to pull contacts. I was not remarketing between connections. Email (and SMS) mktg isn't for brands (alone). Do yourself a favor and keep the story moving, in between connections. Leverage your content to drive home key points, demonstrate authority. Have social proof in a portfolio, review or case? Share that. Park them in your newsletter. Just keep the conversation moving and remember... One line at a time, don't tell the story; the story is the relationship your building

SDRs can sell to 10 different titles or verticals if the offer/benefit is the same. If it’s not, then don’t bother.  Keep them focused on 1-2 titles or verticals. When prospecting, SDRs need to hone in on their service's value, offer, and benefit. If it’s too generalized, it’ll never resonate with the desired audience. It’ll fall flat. They’ll never hit quota. Focus breeds expertise. Expertise is what helps lay the foundation of interest and trust. If your SDR focuses on too many offerings, they will never be the expert. They’ll never generate interest and trust. Let your SDR have a narrow focus. Let your SDR become the expert at piquing interest on 1-2 offerings. That’s what we do at Alleyoop. SDRs - Here's a scenario, your marketing team sends you a lead that downloaded a white paper from your company's website... The reality is that this lead probably didn't read the white paper. Best case scenario is they lightly skimmed it. But these leads aren't totally worthless. There's a reason they started looking at the content in the first place. Find out what that reason is! "what piqued your interest in the white paper?" This'll answer the "why". The "why" is often a pain point. Double down on that pain, offer a solution, and book the meeting. P.S.
