“It was such a pleasure working under Bob during his tenure at Access Brand Communications. As General Manager of the NY office, he was responsible for growing the business and developing the culture of an office that had been heavily impacted by a merger in 2016. In working with Bob on client and new business projects, he is a determined leader: forging a strategic-driven path and empowering staff to rise with him. His collaborative approach is deeply rooted in innovation, and he sets a model of tapping and growing resources to deliver best-in-class work for clients and prospects. From a staff perspective, Bob had a heavy hand in implementing changes that contributed to a rise in employee satisfaction scores. An incredibly present figurehead, Bob carved out time for each and every member of the office, keeping a close pulse on employee growth & development and ultimately creating a culture where people wanted to stay and thrive. I strongly recommend Bob for any role or opportunity that demands positive, measurable results. ”

Here's how you can enhance your corporate communications with storytelling techniques.
To unleash emotion in brand stories, you have to keep it real. Empathy and connection come from relatability--like the relatability of setbacks or potential failure. Aristotle argued that successful narratives rest on the three-legged stool of ethos (character or reputation), logos (claims and proof), and pathos (the values and beliefs that spark an emotional response). Resist the temptation to tell stories grounded solely on functional benefits and data. By making the audience feel something you'll spark better engagement.

What are the best ways to use slides and visual aids in a persuasive speech?
Too often, we talk about "presenting slides" as if they're the thing to be served rather than thinking holistically about serving the story, the speaker and, more importantly, the audience. If you decide that slides will help convey information better, remember that the slide's job is to complement, rather than compete with, what you have to say. I suggest the following: 1. Think in terms of time, not the number of slides. In other words, use as many slides as it takes to tell the story you want to tell. 2. For information-rich visuals, think in terms of billboards. If you were driving by it, could you comprehend what it's conveying? If not, strip it down or create a build.

What are some tips for concise writing?
Read everything out loud. Writing is music. It needs to be heard. And when you hear it, you will know when sentences are too long or complex. You’ll hear where word choices don’t work. You’ll pick the perfect places to punch with alliteration. Reading aloud refines your voice and better serves your audience.
