What techniques can you use to improve recorded dialogue quality?
Don't be afraid to interrupt and start over. The sooner the better. You can fix a lot of things in post. Bad audio is not one of them. If it turns out that the audio setup is just not working, then stop and start over. This step can be a lot easier said then done, especially if you're working with a celebrity or a prominent interviewee. Don't let that stop you. There's nothing worse than nabbing an interview with a top notch guest or interviewee and then having unusable audio.

How can a mentor who is a good listener help you build your team?
To be a good leader, a good mentor, or a good mentee, being a good listener is an absolute prerequisite. I think one of the biggest benefits of listening is that it helps to build and expand empathy and your EQ – a vital professional quality in this day and age. Listening helps you better understand people and ultimately helps you better connect with them.

How can a mentor who is a good listener help you build your team?
Humility is key. Check your ego at the door. Acknowledge you don't know everything and or that your way isn't necessarily the best way. Be open to new ways of looking at things or doing things. It's easy to dismiss something that you don't agree with or that initially doesn't align with your thoughts or expectations. Make sure you take everything under consideration. Ask questions. Clarify. Challenge. In the end, take what they give you and make it your own.

We spent some time in/around Nashville shooting for Sell on Amazon with Quinn Rudee of Hey Brutus. It was great working alongside Andeep Singh and seeing these seller stories come to life. What happens when your scrap business has the potential to become your main business? That's exactly what happened with Stephen Cox and his vinyl company, Craftables Whenever Stephen and his team created decals for customers, they were left with plenty of perfectly usable leftover scrap vinyl. In 2012, Stephen says that he really realized the opportunity to offer high-quality vinyl squares to the craft market. Crafting really started to take off in a different way during the pandemic. With increased demand, "things started getting missed." To meet that demand and to get better organized, the Craftables team leveraged Amazon API to pull in inventory data and sales data, and to scale up the business more efficiently. "Amazon's a great partner," Stephen shared. "They have supported us in a lot of different ways, sometimes in ways that we don't even realize we need." Looking ahead, the Nashville-based entrepreneur hopes to start additional Amazon businesses focused on other products, like tape. He also looks forward to sharing the knowledge he's gained about his experience selling in the Amazon store with other small business owners. Life of a New YouTuber 🥴 I tried to adjust the aperture on my SONY RX VII camera to achieve a beautiful depth-of-field effect in my video. However, upon reviewing the footage later, I realized it was blurry. It was frustrating, but I eventually reshot the footage without the depth-of-field effect and added a Gaussian Blur effect using Adobe Premiere Pro during editing. While the effect wasn't as clean as I wanted, I'm improving using the pen tool. These technical difficulties caused me to miss my weekly post schedule, but I didn't let them discourage me. I still managed to complete the work within the week. This experience taught me not to be too hard on myself when I miss a deadline due to technical difficulties. What's important to me is creating high-quality, well-written, visually appealing content with music that sets the right tone and adds value to my viewers.
