Asking dumb questions isn't dumb... When I started RE/GEN METHOD, I had years of operating experience but zero experience raising capital. I didn't know the jargon, the tips and tricks of effective pitching, or anything else. The problem wasn't the knowledge gap; it was my reticence to ask for help. I was lucky to have the support of my comrade-in-arms, Becca McCarthy, who gave me a safe space to "ask the dumb questions" and the tools I needed to raise. (I also did a lot of googling.) When Rachel Hirsch invited me to help create Wellness Growth Ventures Fundraising 101 program, I jumped at the chance to use my experience (as an operator and a founder) to support other female founders. The program gives founders the tools, knowledge, and community to ask questions and fundraise effectively and confidently. I’m honored to be part of this effort and excited to support others in their journey!
