Her passion for understanding global challenges has been evident throughout her academic journey, from her undergraduate studies to her graduate work. During her time in the MPP program, Payton proved herself to be an exceptional student and dedicated professional. Local Penn State folks, please mark your calendars for the US premiere of A Century After Nanook -- the film I've been working on for the last 5 years. The event will take place at the State Theatre on Saturday, March 1 at 6:30pm. There will be a ceremonial lighting of the qulliq (oil lamp) and some throat singing on stage before the screening. At the conclusion of the 90-minute film, there will be a Q&A with our Inuit guests. Five (maybe six) of my Inuit collaborators and co-producers will be on the Penn State campus February 26 - March 1. Thanks to the Institute of Energy and the Environment, the Penn State Climate Consortium, the Penn State College of the Liberal Arts , and the CORVA Studio Lab there will be several opportunities to meet with them and participate in discussions.
